Two weeks after the opening ceremony of the Greatest Master Tournament. Over at Ash, Lily of The Valley Island, Sinnoh Region.

Ash stood behind the large glass window of a special room for his team. He was accompanied by his Elite Four, as they all were looking at the battlefield.

"Steven Stone." Ash said, looking at one side of the battlefield, where Steven Stone; The Champion of the Hoenn Region was battling another unnamed champion from some region. Steven was using his shiny Metagross, which was mega-Evolved.

"That Metagross is a monster." Koga said. "Steven looked like he was going to lose against the Champion from the Agra Region, until he pulled out that Metagross." He added, looking up at the large screen above the battlefield, which showed Metagross as Steven's last Pokemon. The opposing champion was also down to his last Pokemon; a Mega-Evolved Alakazam.

"Metagross! Use Meteor Mash!" Steven said.

Metagross charged straight at Alakazam, with its arms glowing silver.

*BOOM*

The referee raised a flag towards Steven. "Alakazam is unable to battle! The Hoenn Champion; Steven wins the battle!" He exclaimed.

Ash looked on from his spot, as the announcer yelled in excitement as usual. "So that's our first challenge." He said. "The Hoenn Elite Four and Champion." He added.

Lance cracked his knuckles. "I'm going to thoroughly enjoy this." He said, squinting his eyes as he saw who he'd be going up against. His opponent was Drake; The Dragon-Type specialist of the Hoenn Elite Four.

"This'll be tough--- for me." Bruno said, as he looked at a screen in the room, which showed that he, a fighting-type specialist, was going to be battling Phoebe, a ghost-type specialist.

The announcer declared that the next battle would be between The Hoenn and Indigo Elite Four, which would be held tomorrow.

A few hours later---

Ash was in his hotel room, sitting in front of a desk as he used a scarf to polish all of his Pokeballs. Serena was in the room as well, lying down on the large bed behind Ash.

Someone knocked the door.

Ash got up and answered the door. It was Lance, standing still in his usual attire.

"What is it, Lance?" Ash asked.

"Not much, Champion." Lance replied. "I came to ask how you were doing."

"I'm doing fine--- I guess?" Ash responded, scratching his head.

"I see." Lance replied. Suddenly, he sneezed, lowering his face instantly. As he sneezed, he dropped a tissue that went inside the room.

"Bless you!" Serena said from inside.

"Are you alright, Lance?" Ash asked.

"Never felt more alive." Lance replied. "Later." He added, before walking away.

Ash just stood there, completely confused as he saw Lance walk down the hallway, and enter the elevator before it closed its doors. Ash closed the door and turned towards Serena. "I wonder what that was all about. Weird." He said. "He was speaking like he was on drugs or something. But it didn't look like it--"

"Ash--" Serena said, looking at the tissue paper Lance had dropped. "Something's written on it." She added.

Ash picked up the tissue and saw a note written on it. He began reading it out loud. "Come to the easternmost bench in the park in exactly one hour. Conceal your identity, and make sure you don't have Pikachu sitting on your shoulders." Ash said, completing to read the note.
