The Elite Storm (Part 2)

[Back where we left off]

Narrator: "As Ash finally defeated the Elite Four and the Elite Champion, our Hero decided to finally take an arrow to the knee. We join now after Ash has been inducted into the Hall of Fame, and has just heard something out in the Battlefield---"

Ash, along with Pikachu on his shoulders walked with Lance upstairs as they entered the waiting room again. The door closed behind them and locked. Ash's eyes opened wide as soon as he spotted his Dad present in the room, hugging Serena who was crying.

"You'll do just fine, kiddo--- you both have my blessings---" Lawrence said to Serena, patting her head.

"Th-Thank you, Colonel" Serena said to Lawrence, releasing him and then wiping her tears.

"El-Lawrence!" Lance said, as soon as he spotted Ash's Dad in the distance.

"Dad!" Ash said, looking at Lawrence. He then ran towards him and gave him a hug.

"Hey-- that's my kid--- The Champion." Lawrence said, returning the hug. 

Ash and Lawrence released each other. Lance walked up to Lawrence.

"Long time, Detective. How did the Andes Mountain mission go?" Lance asked.

"Yeah--- We finally managed to find Miyamoto---" Lawrence replied, but in a bit of lowered manner.

"That sounds great--- is she being interrogated?" Lance asked.

"We found her almost frozen. She's been in a coma since the two days we got her to Viridian City" Lawrence replied, in a low manner again.

"Who's Miyamoto?" Ash asked.

"Oh--- That's an old friend of mine---" Lawrence replied. "But enough about her--- Tell me, Ash--- how strong are you? Now that you've become a Champion?" He asked.

"I'm as strong as ever!" Ash replied, forming a fist.

"Will you show me?" Lawrence asked.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Ash asked.

"Wait-- hold on" Lance said, surprised. "You don't mean to tell me--- that you're cashing in your chance?" He asked.

"Yep--- I've sat on it for too many years now--- And what better champion to battle against--- than my own Ash." Lawrence said, looking at Ash.

"What's happening?" Ash asked, confused.

"I'm challenging the Elite Four, Son. I want you to prove to me how much you deserve the title of champion. I'll see you later after I defeat the Elite Four." Lawrence said, as he walked straight towards the hallway that led to the Battlefield.

Ash, Serena, Gary, and Lance looked on as Lawrence left.

"So that's what the crowd is going wild over---" Lance said, looking at the hallways.

"I didn't know your Dad was a league Champion---" Serena said to Ash. 

Gary stepped in. "Yeah, how did that happen?" He asked Ash.

"Uh--- I--- didn't know either---" Ash replied. "Lance? Do you have any clue?" He said, looking at Lance beside him.

"It's--- something that happened many years ago---" Lance said. "He won the League, but then just--- left to do other things because he felt that there weren't any strong trainers left in the world for him to challenge--- He was just too good." He added.

"Whoa---" Ash, Serena, and Gary said, looking on.

"Any Idea what Pokemon he has?" Gary asked.

"Speaking of Pokemon that he used recently--- Other than that white thing he calls 'Solgaleo' --- No clue at all." Lance replied.
