Writer's POV

[A few moments after Dr. Fuji escaped]

Giovanni was sitting in his seat inside his Headquarters office, when Dr. Namba entered it, with something to tell to his boss. Giovanni was waiting for the doctor with a serious look on his face. He was positive that Dr.Fuji had given up some good evidence regarding how to successfully clone another Mewtwo.

"So, Dr. Namba... I believe you have something to tell me about your ongoing interrogation on Dr. Fuji, Yes? I do hope so, otherwise i'll have your skull skinned and placed on my desk as an ornament." Giovanni said to the Doctor in a serious tone. 

"Uh-- Yes, We have secured the information and sent Dr.Fuji to one of our cells in the Hoenn region. You'll never see his backbiting face again, Sir!" Dr. Namba replied in a nervous tone, while lying through his teeth.

"It seems that those three idiots have proven themselves useful once again. Call them to the office, Matori. I think they deserve a reward for accomplishing such a hard task that nobody could do before." Giovanni calmly said to his assistant who was standing beside him as usual.

"That won't be necessary, Matori." Dr. Namba quickly said while flinching internally. "Those three agents have been appointed to deliver Dr.Fuji to the Hoenn cells" He added while sweat-dropping.

"I have the data and am sure we'll be getting closer to getting a controlled Mewtwo unlike the pathetic one Dr. Fuji engineered!" Dr. Namba said as his tone got a bit villainous.

"Good, Good... What about your quest to catch the Mewtwo that was sighted in Mt. Moon?" Giovanni asked Dr. Namba. "Uh--- Yeah--- The weapon I developed was certainly going to allow Mewtwo's capture, but--" Dr. Namba replied as he choked a bit.

"BUT!?" Giovanni said as his tone got angry. "Uh--- *gulp* There was this kid that foiled the whole plan. Some trainer that's got this overpowered Pokemon that I've never seen before. One of his friends, a little girl even had a Zygarde that followed every one of it's trainer's commands" Dr. Namba said nervously.

"A Zygarde? The same green Legendary Pokemon from Kalos?" Giovanni said in a bit of a shocked manner. "Y-Yes, Sir. The same Pokemon that beat you in a gym battle single-handed. I've barely got some intel on the kid. His name's Ashton Ketchum who keeps travelling different regions with that unusually powerful Pikachu you've wanted some time ago. Same trainer." Dr. Namba said.

"Oh-- That son of a--- Wait. There's another Ketchum!?" Giovanni said while smashing his fist on his table. "Yes, Sir... I couldn't find anything about his family anywhere though. It's as if they don't even exist!" Dr. Namba said in a bit of a stunned manner.

"Why does it feel like I know about that kid... I feel like I've met him before... I've had my paths cross with another Ketchum back in the day... and now he has another family member..." Giovanni said as he got up from his seat and looked outside a window behind him.

"Could it be that Mewtwo erased your memories? I've heard stories from the interns working with me on the project..." Dr. Namba said.

"How close are we regarding that research team in Hoenn? Or is that a waste of my TIME and my RESOURCES!?" Giovanni said to the Doctor, trying to control his returning anger.
