Lauren had been laying in her bed for a while, when she heard a few soft knocks on her bedroom door.

"Yeah." She says, her voice soft.

"C-can I come in?" Camila stutters, sounding insecure. Lauren looks up from her place in the middle of the bed. She notices how dark the bags underneath Camila's eyes are and how smudged up her makeup is. "I- I brought y-your phone upstairs." Camila adds, scared Lauren might never want to talk to her ever again. She'd kinda understand it.

"I don't need it." Lauren says drily, not meeting Camila's gaze.

"Oh." Camila mumbles, standing in the middle of the room, feeling awkward as she crosses her arms again as some kinda way to protect herself. "I thought that maybe you'd be bored. You've been up here for like four hours and I-"

"I had my thoughts to entertain me." Lauren replies, interrupting Camila's ramble.

"Baby, I'm really, really sorry.." Camila says, her voice soft as she walks over tot he side of the bed. "I wanted to reach you. Trisha, the pub-"

"The awful publicist woman, yes." Lauren interrupts her, avoiding eye contact.

"Y-yeah." Camila mumbles. "She's a fucking bitch and the label wants to make sure everyone thinks I'm as straight as a ruler. Especially for the first year of my career and-"

"There's nothing wrong with being gay Camila!" Lauren shouts then, looking her girlfriend in the eyes. "They're acting as if it will affect your career, but-"

"Well it- it could!"

"It could but it doesn't necessarily have to." Lauren says, shaking her head in frustration. "Look at how my career-"

"You were already a mega star when you came out, Lauren." Camila defends herself. "It's not the same. You already had a ton of fans."

Lauren scoffs. "Well you do too." She says. "Your management is fucking homophobic and it's not okay."

Camila sighs and sits down on the bed as well, taking a save distance from her girlfriend. "I know, but I can't do anything about it."

"Should've read your-"

"Contract. Yes, I know. And it's dumb that I didn't read it properly. I'm sorry about that Lo, I really am. I swear I'll read every single letter of the next form I ever have to sign. But for now we're stuck in this messed up situation and I don't really know how to make it better." She breathes out. "I- I mean, at least we have eachother, right?"

A deep breath escapes Lauren's throat as she runs a hand through her hair, sitting against the headboard of her kingsize bed.

"Rig..ht?" Camila asks again, her voice cracking slightly.

"I don't know if I can handle a year of cozy and cute pictures with him, Camz." She admits.
