Ashton: Ashton beat on his drums as if his life depended on it. He was playing one of his best sets yet, and you could just tell from watching that tonight he was really happy. You stood backstage, just watching like you did most nights. You truly loved watching the boys perform, because every night you got to watch them have the time of their lives and do something they were so passionate about. And you got to see Ashton do something he loved. Occasionally he would sneak a quick look at you and give you that small quirky smile. You would blush still and look at your feet as if it was your first date all over again. But that was long ago, almost three years ago was your first date. You were over the moon with Ashton, he was your happiness. And that scared you, because you had always been told to not allow yourself to rely on someone else for happiness. But you had fallen way over that, as Ashton was your rock and most of all - what you believed to be - your soulmate. As cheesy as that sounded, and of course you rarely told people because you feared what they would say, but you believed it fully. He was the light in your life. You heard Calum talking to the audience and you barely had time to register your name being called out and the crowd begin to scream. You looked around and the people milling around the back nodded to you and smiled, as Calum called you once again, this time Luke joining in. You walked hesitantly and self consciously out to stage as you looked at Ashton in a quizzical manner. He shrugged smiling at you as you walked towards Calum and Luke. Michael had disappeared for a moment and came back with a stool that was meant for acoustic gigs, placing it in the middle of the stage. “What’s going on?” You asked, but Calum shrugged, telling you to sit down. The crowd was deafening and you winced as shrill screams echoed around you. A few more stools were brought out and the boys lined up, ready to play an acoustic song. Your heart was pounding, your head spinning, and you were blinded by lights. You felt a hand on your shoulder and you looked backwards to see Ashton coming towards you. He smiled down at you as he sat on his box that was placed beside you, and you grew anxious as to what was happening. The first few chords of ‘She Looks So Perfect’ began to chime around you. You looked at the boys that had become brothers to you, as Luke began to sing. You awkwardly sat there, tapping your foot on the stool, but instead of Calum singing the next verse, Ashton did. “If I showed up with a plane ticket, And a shiny diamond ring with your name on it, Would you wanna run away too? ‘Cause all I really want is you.” As he sang he stood up, leaving the beat to the boys as got in front of you on one knee. Your heart was hammering and you felt faint because of what was happening, as you stared at Ashton with wide eyes. The boys had stopped singing now, and the crowd was going wild. “(Y/N) I have loved you since I laid eyes on you. You’re my everything and I can’t imagine a day without you babe. So if I showed up with a ring with your name on it, would you wanna run away too? Will you marry me (Y/N)?” He asked, smiling as he stared up at you. You nodded your head, blinking back tears of excitement and sheer surprise as you said yes, Calum’s microphone picking it up. The boys cheered as Ashton slipped the ring on your finger and stood up grabbing you and spinning you around in a bone shattering hug. You could feel his heart pounding just as hard as yours was, and at that moment you realized that they beat as one. You kept murmuring yes, unable to stop because the more you said it the more confident you got. “I love you,” You whispered into his ear, nuzzling into the crook of his moderately sweaty neck. “I love you too darling,” He said kissing your cheek and setting you down on your feet. “Soon to be Mr and Mrs Irwin! Give them a hand!” Michael shouted, making you laugh and grab Ashton’s hand. The crowd began a thunderous clap as you laughed, leaning into Ashton’s side. “Alright love birds, lets finish the song!” Luke said, making you laugh. You sat back down on your stool, and Ashton on his box, your eyes never leaving each other as the lads finished the set.
Calum: “Just come to the acoustic show, please?” Calum begged you. You wondered why he was insisting that you attend this specific gig; you rarely went to them anymore. It wasn’t that you didn’t want to, but most of the time in an acoustic gig there was no place for you to sit out of sight, and the fans had a tendency to swarm around you, peppering you with questions. It made you feel uncomfortable, so you kept your distance now, but Calum was practically begging you to come with him today. It wasn’t anything special, at least you couldn’t remember it being anything super important but you agreed hesitantly, just to appease him. His victorious smile was enough to show you that you could put up with the publicity for one day. You left your hotel room hand in hand, talking animatedly about what you both where going to do after the show. You too loved to explore the place you were staying at, trying your hardest to see the most memorable things in the small amount of time that you had. You sat on the sidelines as Calum and the other boys set up their instruments and prepared for the set, just as some fans began to trickle in. The immediately rushed to the front row in order to see their favourite member up close. You stayed off to the side, keeping an eye on the lads, and watching them react to the crowds. They always handled it so well, making you proud at how far they had come. “You’re Calum’s girlfriend right?” A girl asked you, coming up to you shyly. “Yes I am,” You said smiling. “You’re really pretty, you two are so perfect for each other. I ship it hard.” She said making you laugh. “How long have you been together?” She added, making you smile even wider. “Four and a half years now.” You replied, your eyes flicking towards Calum. He caught your eye and smiled. “Wow, that’s a long time. You two are pretty well joined at the hip aren’t you?” You couldn’t help but laugh and nod. “We do a lot together.” Just as she was about to ask something else the guys began to play their set, and her attention was averted. You sat a little off to the side, as you nodded your head along with your favourite songs. You admired from afar just how far they had come. It seemed like only yesterday they were still just a wee little band, and now they were playing their own acoustic sets, and were touring the world. They were conquering the world one step at a time, and you felt so grateful to watch it unfold. When they announced that they would play ‘She Looks So Perfect’ you smiled. You loved this song, and every time they played it, it always brought a smile to your face. You swayed to the song, and smiled as Calum made eye contact with you. After the song ended, you thought they would launch right into the next one but instead Calum stood up, and looked at you. “Could my lovely girlfriend (Y/N) come up here?” He asked, pointing to you. Your eyes grew wide and you blushed, but stood up regardless. You walked towards him slowly, his eyes beckoning you forward. When you reached him, he grabbed your hand and the crowd awaited eagerly and you wondered why. He faced you and took a deep breath. “So I know how much you love that song, and you know how much I love you. And the reason I brought you here is for a very special reason. I want you to look out into the audience and watch the signs okay,” He said, turning you gently to the small crowd gathered in the auditorium, and you saw that Calum left your side. “Okay guys, go!” He said from behind you. The first sign flew up and it said “She” and with every person that held up a sign it said “Looks so Perfect” and the next row held up even bigger signs. “Will You Marry Me,” Was held up in perfect order and your hand flew to your mouth. You could feel yourself blushing and you turned around to see Calum on one knee. “I am positive that I want to spend the rest of my life with not only my beautiful girlfriend, but my best friend. I want to grow old with you and I want you at my side for the rest of my life and beyond, so (Y/N), will you marry me?” He asked, opening a small velvet box to reveal a beautiful ring. You nodded your head, tears falling from your eyes as you laughed out of shock and excitement. “Of course I will Calum!” You said, laughing as he picked you up and hugged you. The crowd began to cheer, and you turned to them, smiling at all of them and thanking them with your eyes at how wonderful this went. You couldn’t believe that you would become Mrs. Hood and you couldn’t be more excited.
