Luke: It’s like he is feeling the pain you’re feeling, and he needs to make it better. Even though he knows that it’s not, he feels like it somehow may be his fault that you’re crying. He’s supposed to protect you, and apparently he didn’t protect you enough in this moment. He is instantly right beside you, holding you against his chest and letting you stain his shirt with your tears. He presses his lips to the top of your head, waiting for you to calm down and explain what had made you so upset.
Calum: When he hears you crying, he comes running over to you and starts asking you questions. “Who did this?” “Why are you so upset?” “Should I have done anything to try and prevent this?” and it goes on and on. In your weakest moments, his mission is just to make you smile and laugh again. He hugs you tightly and tells you terrible jokes, and his attempts eventually work. Soon, you’re smiling again and ready to tell Calum what was wrong.
Michael: At first, Michael feels a bit uncomfortable watching you cry. He can’t help but wonder if this was caused by something he had said. Then, he realizes that seeing you hurt kills him, and whatever it was bothering you needed to be forgotten. He walks over to you and wraps his arms around your shaking frame and whispers, “Do you wanna play video games or something to forget all about this?” Soon, you’re so into the game that your pain is forgotten, making Michael smile proudly.
Ashton: Ashton knows that during these moments, you need your space to sort out your thoughts and just cry, so he tries to give you that. Then, he can’t take you hurting anymore, so he goes over to you and sits next to you silently. It’s his way of letting you know that he’s there for you. After about two minutes, you realize this and tell him everything. He always listens to you, after all.
