Y/N's alarm went off and she shot up in the bed feeling awful. Today wasn't going to be her day. She laid back down and covered her head up.
About ten minutes later, her mom, Amy, walked in to her room and found her still in bed.
"Y/N! Come on or you're gonna be late!"
Y/N uncovered her head and her mom ran to her side. Amy felt her forehead, then called for Aaron, Y/N's dad, to bring her the thermometer.
Aaron walked into his daughter's room with the thermometer and noticed that Y/N looked pitiful. He walked over to the side of her bed and sat down beside her mom.
"Aw, my poor little girl is sick."
Y/N shot her dad a look. She hated when he called her little. She was almost fourteen and her dad still called her his little girl.
"I'm not little anymore dad, but I feel terrible. I don't think I can go to school today."
Y/N gave her parents her signature sweet and innocent look. The look doesn't work on Amy anymore, but Aaron falls for it every time. Aaron gave Amy the almost exact look that Y/N had given them.
"Okay Y/N. If you're really sick, then you can stay home, but I can't stay home with you."
"I can stay home with her. I don't have any surgeries planned for today. Just a bunch of paperwork to do to."Aaron and Amy left their daughter's room so Amy could finish getting ready for work. Amy came back into Y/N's room and kissed her on her head and told her goodbye and she left for work.
Aaron made his way back into Y/N's room and smiled when he noticed that she had curled herself into a ball on her bed.
"So, do you feel like eating anything?"
"I don't know dad. Do we have any Gatorade?"
"How about I bring you some chicken noodle soup and Y/F/F Gatorade?"
"Sounds good to me dad."With that, Aaron left her room to fetch her soup and drink. When he returned to her room, he saw that Y/N had fallen back to sleep. He really did hate seeing his little girl sick.
"Y/N, Sweetheart. I have your soup and Gatorade."
He shook her gently and she opened her eyes lazily and smiled at her dad.
"Thanks dad."
"It's no problem sweetheart."Y/N sat up in her bed and grabbed her bowl of soup as her dad sat in her floor.
"What are you doing dad?"
"We're having a daddy/daughter sick day, I'm hanging out with you."
"But you aren't sick."
"So I can still hangout with my little girl when she's sick."
"You do know I'm not little anymore, right?"
"I know, but no matter how old you get, you'll always be my little girl and nothing will change that."
"I love you dad."
"I love you too Y/N, so much."When they had finished their breakfast, they both moved to living room where they watched movies and played video games spending the rest of their sick day together.
