Y/N's life was great. She had an amazing job and a wonderful boyfriend, but she was depressed. She tried her best to be positive about everything, but she couldn't help for how she felt.

Bill, her boyfriend, was clueless about how Y/N felt. She always told him that she was fine, but the truth was that she wasn't.

She had no idea how to communicate to him how she felt. She just kept her true feeling to her and went about her day.

Today was different. Today, Y/N felt numb to the outside world. She couldn't feel anything and darkness filled her mind. A thought crossed her mind. A thought of something that could make her feel something.

When Bill arrived home from work, the house was quiet. He saw Y/N's car in the driveway so he knew she was there somewhere.

"Y/N, I'm home. Where are you?"

He didn't get an answer, and he became suspicious. He walked up stairs and check her office but she wasn't there. He walked into their bedroom and saw that the bathroom door was shut with the light on. He opened the door and paused at the sight.

Y/N slid the metal across her wrists and watched watched as the red blood dripping into the sink. She jumped as she heard the door open, and she looked up and saw Bill standing there with a sad look on his face. She held her wrist in her hand as she dropped to the floor and began sobbing.

Bill grabbed a towel and rushed to her side. He held the towel against her wrist and wrapped his other arm around her body pulling her close to him.

"Bill, I-I... I-"
"Hey, it's okay. Shhhh, I've got you. It's okay."

Y/N's sobs slowly died down, and Bill helped her off the floor. He bandaged her wrist and carried her to their shared bed. He carefully laid her in the bed and climbed into the bed beside her. She snuggled herself close to him, and he wrapped his arms around her.

After laying in the bed for awhile, Y/N looked up at Bill and saw that he was looking already looking at her. He offered her a smile, and she smiled back before speaking.

"Bill, are you mad at me?"
"No, sweetheart. I'm not mad at you. It's okay to not be okay. I'm heat to help you in anyway that I can. I love you so much."
"I love you too, Bill."

Y/N leaned up, and Bill met her half way for a comforting kiss. She pulled away slowly and laid her head back down on his chest. Bill held her tightly as she drifted to sleep in his arms.

Bill truly loved her so much, and he would do whatever took to help her get better. He knew what it was like to struggle through dark times, and he didn't want her to struggle alone. He wanted her to be happy and healthy, and he would do anything to make sure that happened.
