(Part 2 of She's Your Daughter Too)

Y/N, Avery, and Aaron walked into the ice cream shop, and Aaron bought all three of them some ice cream. Y/N offered to pay for hers and Avery's, but he insisted on paying.

They found a booth, and Aaron sat across from Y/N and Avery. A smile came to his face as he watched Avery eat her ice cream.

"I still can't believe that this beautiful little girl is my daughter."
"She's definitely beautiful."
"Can I...um-"
"You don't have to ask, Aaron. Just talk to her."

Y/N chuckled lightly, and Aaron cleared his throat. He slid over till he was siting across from Avery. She looked up at Aaron and smiled at him with ice cream all over her face. He chuckled as he handed her a napkin.

"So, Avery. When's your birthday?"
"April 21st. Right, mommy?"
Y/N nodded her head at Avery, and she smiled at her mother.

"What's your middle name?"
"Katherine."
"That's such a pretty middle name."
"Thanks, daddy."

Tears began to pool in Aaron's eyes as he heard his daughter call him daddy. He attempted to blink away the tears. Y/N watched them with a huge smile on her face.

"So, your mommy said that you like sports. Which one is your favorite?"
"I play soccer, and I like basketball too."
"Oh, really? Do you wanna hear something really cool?"
"Yeah."
"I take care of people who play sports. I'm a sports doctor."
"Really? That's super cool."

Y/N watched as Avery's face lit up when Aaron began talking about sports. She notice how much alike they were, and she regretted not telling Aaron about their daughter sooner.

Avery began talking about her favorite toys and Disney movies, and Aaron listened intently as she spoke. Suddenly, Avery crawled under the table and sat beside Aaron. Y/N smiled and laughed quietly as she watch Avery sit on her knees and touch his hair. Y/N snapped out of her thoughts as Avery spoke to her.

"Mommy, take a picture of me and daddy, please."
"Of course, sweetheart."
"Would you mind taking one on my phone too?"
"Sure, Aaron. I don't mind at all."

Avery stood up on the booth seat and she wrapped her uncasted arm around Aaron's neck. He held her close to him, and they both smiled as Y/N took the pictures. She handed him back his phone, and Avery took it, looking at the picture. Aaron looked up at Y/N, and he saw that she was already looking at him.

"Um, so, this is kind of an awkward question, but are you seeing anyone?"
"No, actually I'm not. I haven't been out with anyone since I found out I was pregnant with our beautiful little girl. I've been to busy trying to make sure that she has everything she needs. What about you?"
"Well, I was, but I caught her cheating on me so I ended things with her."
"I'm so sorry, Aaron."
"Hey, don't worry about it. It's okay. I've got all I could ever ask for now."

Y/N looked at the time and noticed that it was getting late. She gathered up their trash and threw it away as Aaron helped Avery grab her stuff. Avery held on to Aaron's hand as he walked her to Y/N's car. He picked her up, and she tightly wrapped her arms around his neck. Aaron hugged her back just as tight. He sat her on the ground, and he noticed that she had a sad look on her face. He bent down and lifted her chin up with his finger.

"What's wrong, princess?"
"I don't want you to leave. I want you to be around all the time."
"Hey, I promise you that I'm not going anywhere. Not ever, and if you ever want to talk to me, your mommy has my number. You can call and talk to me anytime you want to, okay?"
"Okay. Can I have another hug?"
"Of course you can."

Avery tightly wrapped her arms around Aaron's, and she placed her face in his neck. He wrapped his arms around her small body, and held her tightly. They pulled away, and Y/N helped Avery get into the car. Aaron walked over to Y/N, and he pulled her into a hug. She hugged him back, and they pulled away, and Aaron smiled at her.

"Y/N, thank you so much for letting me be apart of her life. I know I just met her, but I already love her so much."
"I know you do, and I can tell that she loves you too. Aaron, I'm so sorry for not telling you sooner. I really should have, and I'm stupid for not telling you."
"Hey, it's okay. I'm just happy that you told her she had a daddy from the beginning, and now, I have the rest on my life to make up for the five wonderful years I've missed."
"I actually have something for you. It's a photo album and a box full of things from when I first found out about her till now. Why don't you come over for dinner one night, and I'll give it to you."
"I'd love to."
"Okay, great. Well, we have to go. It's almost her bedtime. I'll let her call you and tell you goodnight."
"I'll be expecting the call. Bye, Y/N."
"Bye, Aaron."

Aaron gave her a little wave before she turned to get into her car. He waved at Avery, and she waved back at him. He watched as they drove away. He got into his car, and he pulled out his phone. He smiled as he looked at the picture of him and Avery. He scrolls through his pictures till he had the one he was looking for. A sad smile came to his face as he looked at a blurry picture of him and Y/N kissing on a couch in a club.

He didn't just want to be in Avery's life. He wanted to be in Y/N's too. Deep down he still had feeling for her that he tried to lock away, but now, they were resurfacing and he couldn't stop them. He wanted to be with them everyday. He wanted to tell YN how he really felt. But, for right now, he was happy to be just a small part of their lives even though he wanted to give them his entire world.
