Based off of the request I got! 🤍

"Baby?" Mark asks.

Scott looks up from his computer. "Hey, sweetheart." He smiles fondly at Mark.

Mark smiles back, making his way next to Scott. "I have a list of my family's dietary restrictions. For the wedding." He pulls his phone out of his pocket.

"Oh, perfect! Let me pull up an email to the caterer," Scott says, opening a new tab.

Scott looks at the notes section of Mark's phone, copying any dietary restrictions. He sends the email to the caterer, kissing Mark on the forehead after.

"What was that for?" Mark asks.

"I can't wait to marry you, is what." Scott says. "In fact, I was looking at these flower arrangements, and I think I've decided."

"Ooooh, lemme see." Mark says, eager, and Scott laughs at Mark.

When Scott pulls up the images, Mark laughs. "Very funny, Scotty."

Scott furrows his brow, looking at Mark.

Mark realizes he's messed up, looking at Scott with wide eyes.

"Well, I guess you don't like them, then." Scott says, coldly. "You didn't have to laugh. You could have just told me."

"T-they don't look good together. At least, I wouldn't pair them together." Mark says. "I'm sorry I laughed, baby—" he reaches for Scott's hand, and Scott stands up.

"It's fine. I'll find something else." Scott says. "Some people like those flowers together, that would be why it's in their top selling arrangements."

"Scotty, I'm sorry." Mark says. "We can get them if you really want," he decides.

"You said you didn't like them together," Scott shrugs. "It's as simple as that. We'll find something else."

Mark furrows his brow, he knows he messed up, but....it's just flowers. Why is Scott being so dramatic about this?

Scott's gone into the bedroom. Mark decides to make them both a cup of tea before going back in.

When Mark sees that Scott is looking at the arrangements again on his computer, his heart sinks in his chest. He really really loves those flowers, and Mark laughed at them.

"Angel?" Mark asks, and Scott shuts his computer.

"I don't want any tea, thanks."

Mark sits on the bed, passing a mug to Scott. "It always makes you feel better," he says, kissing Scott's jaw. He reaches his free hand to wipe the tears falling from Scott's eyes. "Can I ask you something?"

Scott shrugs.

"What made those flowers so special to you, baby?" Mark asks. "Sunflowers and roses...I love them separately, but together? I'm just not sure."

Scott sips his tea, humming softly. "The flowers...would you say they're an unlikely match?"

Mark nods.

"Do you know what else is an unlikely match?"

Mark shakes his head.

"Us. We are. A pop star and you, someone who gets shy on the red carpet and at interviews? Someone who, you don't get to see their full beauty until you look into them?"

Mark thinks for a moment. "You're the sunflowers and I'm the roses," he says. "You're fun, and out there, and I'm...more kept to myself."

Scott grabs a rose from the vase on his nightstand, left over from Valentine's day. "But when you look in," he tilts the rose so you can see all of the petals circling in the middle, "You see all of it's beauty."

"An unlikely match," Mark says. "You'd never think to pair us together," Mark smiles. "But I wouldn't change a thing. And the sunflowers and roses...an unlikely match."

Scott puts the rose back in the vase and sips his tea again before speaking. "I know you weren't attacking our relationship, sweetheart." Scott says. "And I'm sorry for reacting so outwardly."

"No, I'm sorry." Mark says. "For laughing at so much beauty, there. Could you show me the arrangement again, please?"

Scott opens his computer, and the arrangement pops up.

"An unlikely match," Mark says, "But they're both beautiful."

Scott leans over to kiss Mark's temple. "I love you, sweetheart. I'm sorry for being so dramatic. We don't have to get them if you don't like them."

"I love them," Mark says quickly. "We're getting them."

"We don't have to if—mmph!" Scott is cut off by Mark's lips on his.

"I love them," Mark says softly once he pulls away. "They bring out the beauty in each other."
