pov: your soulmate can hear you whenever you sing
some of these songs aren't to any particular tunes but one of them is :-) (i couldn't resist adding hey baby)
when they're singing, scott is italics and mark is bold
•Mark has concluded that his soulmate is a professional artist. He hears him sing every day, multiple times a day, has heard what he can only assume to be recording sessions (I mean, who else would sing the same line 20 times before moving on?), and swears that it's the most beautiful voice he's ever heard.
Which is why he almost loses it when he hears it on the radio.
"Wait, Kit, Kit. Turn that up."
Kirstin turns the radio up, and Mark hears his soulmate on the radio for the first time. "That's him, Kit. That's my soulmate."
"That's your soulmate?" Kirstin asks. "Wow, Mark, he's really good!"
Mark sings along, as he's heard whoever this was recording it in the studio.
"Okay, Mark, get it!" Kirstin laughs. "I think that's the first time I've heard you sing."
"Oh, quick, did you catch his name?" Mark asks, before he realizes it's too late to go back and check. The song has ended. It's over.
"Sorry, I didn't." Kirstin says.

Scott is in the shower when he hears it.
He hears his soulmate singing. But not singing just anything, singing his song.
"I—what? Oh my god," Scott says, out loud to no one. "Oh my god," he says, tearing up. "My baby's singing my song."
He gets out of the shower and grabs his phone. He needs to tell someone. Wants to tell someone.
He calls Matt.
"Hey, dude, what's up?" Matt asks.
"Hey, Matt," Scott says, tears rolling down his cheeks.
"Woah, is everything okay?" Matt asks.
"Yeah, yeah," Scott laughs. "Everything is fine. I just...I heard my soulmate sing for the first time, and he was singing my song. He was singing my song, Matt. That came out this morning."
"Oh my god, Scott! That is so awesome! What were you thinking through all of that?"
"I was just, I was just thinking that my baby was singing along to my song, and I haven't met this person yet, but he's already so sweet and I already love him so much."

Mark still hasn't figured out who his soulmate is. He even typed in what he thought the potential titles to his song could be. It must not be out on youtube or streaming platforms yet.
And then he hears him writing a song.
i heard you singin'
and i fell in love
i heard you laughing—And it stops.
Mark can't believe it. He remembers singing along to his soulmate's song, but now he can't believe he's writing a song about him.
"Mark?" Greg asks. "Mark, you okay? You haven't touched your food."
"Oh my god. Yeah. Sorry, Greg. My soulmate is singing again."
"That's sweet." Greg says. "What song?"
"I think he's writing a song about me," Mark says. "It's really cute."
