The merman and the pirate

Because im absolutely taking fucking forever in his commission of Uma's crew- @random-thoughts-004(on tumblr) was allowed one free request and he wanted a male merman reader x Harry where merman reader saves the lost revenge crew from a storm-gets injuired, Harry saves him back and they end up falling in love and all that good stuff so here it is!

easiest Harry Hook thing ive written in a while, no im not back to writing him really but it felt nice to write for him anyway-takes place after D3 so everyone's off the isle and being sailors.

"TIE DOWN THOSE CANONS-MAKE SURE NO ONE AND NOTHING IS LOST!" Uma yelled over the chaos of the storm, Harry at the helm-guiding the lost revenge through the horrid storm. The crew ran about on the ship-battered by rough waves and harsh wind and rain as everyone tried to keep their wits.

"Captain!" Drey yelled from the main deck, their feet unsteady beneath them as they were bashed into the rails of the ship-a large wave knocking most off their feet. "we have to find land!"

Uma knew this-she wiped the water from her eyes, clutching her necklace-closing her eyes and searching for land amongst the chaos. But it was hard to focus, the waves rough and rain biting cold. "Captain!" another voice yelled and Uma yelled for him to let her focus-her frustration swelling, a wave climbing so high that it crashed into the ship and tipped it over-sending the crew into the rough sea.

"Captain!" Harry yelled, losing grip on the wheel-hitting the water, the current twisting and turning him till he didn't know which way was up. Everything was so dark, the ship and crew lost in the water. Uma got to the surface-looking for anyone. She found Gil and Desiree-keeping them close.

She looked around desperately, scanning the water for her crew-a few heads popped up but were pushed back under by the waves. She dipped under the water-calling upon her magic-transforming quickly into her Caecelia form-when she reemerged her crew were able to find her better and she scooped each one up that came close-cradling them in her arms.

"Harry-where's harry!?" Uma yelled over the rain-Gil looked out into the dark water, not seeing him. "Harry!"

Harry was far beneath the water-the current and his leather coat dragging him further into the depths, he could just barely see Uma far above him-illuminated by lightning here and there. He twisted around-trying to get off his jacket-he had to swim up.

Arms wrapped around him and suddenly he was being pulled up to the surface. He got a glance and saw a merman-his face set in determination. Harry wrapped his arm around the merman's neck and swam with his other hand-soon they burst through the surface. "Harry!" Uma yelled, scooping him up-the merman quickly getting Uma's attention.

"There's an isle over this way!" the merman said, Uma followed him as he swam through the waves. She could just barely see the isle through the storm. The merman stopped and went underwater, cursing out-his tail caught in the lost revenge's ropes which tightened painfully around him. Uma looked around for the merman-Harry calling up towards her.

"He's there!" Harry said, pointing out to the just barely visible figure beneath the waves-the merman's tail allowing him to be seen. Uma reached under the water, undoing the ropes but the merman seemed injured, unable to swim as well as he had only moments ago. So Uma scooped him up as well-making her way to the isle.

The storm eased the closer they got to the isle and while it hadn't left-it was durable when Uma reached the shore. "go, find supplies" Uma ordered her crew as she set them down, gently resting the merman on the shore, still in the water. "ill go get the ship."

Uma returned to the raging sea while the crew went deeper into the island-Harry stayed by the shore, watching the merman who gently prodded his tail, wincing. "are ye alright?" Harry asked, stepping closer to his savior and the merman looked at him a bit wearily-he might've saved Harry, but he was a wild merman and it was natural for them to be wary of humans. "it's okay-ye saved me, let me return the favor." Harry said softly, holding his hands out-making sure his hook and sword were left in the sand as he walked towards the merman.
