Rise Kujikawa x Fem!Reader (P4)

"Excuse me, can I get some mapo tofu?"

"Sure thing!" You replied back to the customer, turning back to your coworker. 'Kujikawa-san-"

"I got it." She cooly replied, before disappearing into the kitchen. 

Ouch. It hadn't been long since you started working here, in fact on your first day the boss' granddaughter came back to work. When you tried to be friendly though, be it chats during break or trying to catch up with her after work, she brushed you off. You thought it'd be nice to have a girl your age to work with, but no matter what it seemed like you weren't going to get along... 

You shook your head. Don't give in! Maybe she's just the shy type. What was it girl friends usually do in Yasogami?

"Fried tofu, please!"

"O-Oh yeah, sure!" You hurriedly took the order, thoughts still lingering in your mind.

Finally, the day was over. You took off your apron and hair protector, and hurried to the internet. 

Where to go in Inaba... The lake, park... Junes... Hmm. 

You then remembered the city nearby your classmates mentioned. You hoped Kujikawa liked the stuff that was there...

"You're not leaving?" A voice said behind you, and you jumped.

"W-Woah!" You clasped your phone. "In a bit, what about you?"

"I guess I am. We're done." She replied. 

"Then are you free?" Your face lit up in excitement at that. 'Ah, sorry,"

Realising you may be overbearing, you went on to explain. "I just thought it's good to get along with coworkers, and we're both girls the same age. So I was thinking it'd be nice to hang out...?"

Rise fell silent, obviously thinking it over. But to your luck - "Okay. Where are we going?"

"Oh, uh, how's Okina City? I've heard it's popular." 

She nodded, absentmindedly twirling her hair. "Sure. Let me just get my stuff."

"Alright!" 

Happy she accepted, you waited patiently at the front entrance. Rise appeared again in her regular clothes, wearing a hat and glasses. When you met eyes, she frowned. 

"Huh? W-What is it?"

"Can't you see the front is crowded? Let's go through the back door." She said as if it common knowledge. You took a brief look out the window. 

"Oh, yeah..." You followed her lead, heading to the back entrance. "Is it always so busy after work? People really like your tofu." 

 You thought you heard a sigh, but she spoke before you could think on it more. 

"Yeah, that's what's popular." 

The rest of the walk was quiet save for your own voice, and even on the train Rise didn't say much. Maybe she got motion sickness?! Now you felt bad for forcing conversation... You tried to discreetly glance at her.

She was staring out the window, expressionless. But even with glasses, you could notice the dark circles under her eyes.

You looked away, and put the half-sided conversation on halt for the rest of the ride. Without you noticing, Rise took a quick glance as well.
