As Marie stood in front of you, cheeks blazing red, you wondered if you heard her right. "Did you just say, a- a date?"
"Don't ask me to repeat it if you know already!" She said, answering in her own way. "I heard some of the girls talking about it, and it was the first I heard of a date..."
"Oh, so that's why." You nodded understandably. "But you could just watch a movie or something, or read a magazine-"
Marie eyebrows furrowed. "That's not the same! I won't get it until I experience it firsthand. So..."
She paused, taking a deep breath. "Goonadatewithmealready!"
"O-Okay, okay!" You raised your hands defensively before rubbing your neck nervously. "But... I've never been on a date either, I don't know what to do."
"Really?" Marie's face lit up for a moment, and a small smile appeared on her face.
You nodded. "Yeah. So maybe one of the other guys would be a better pick for this-"
"No! I mean, don't try backing out of this now, got it?" Marie frowned, but darted her eyes to the side. "Unless you're busy, or something..."
Truthfully you were happy she picked you for the job, although you didn't know why. Still, you agreed. "No, no, I'm not busy. Um, well... where'd you want to go?"
"I don't know..." Marie twirled a lock of hair around her fingers. "... What kind of places do you go?"
Thinking for a moment, you got an idea. "Where? Hm... Oh! Okina City should be good. There's a lot of things to do there."
"Oh, o-okay." Marie coughed slightly to hide her excitement. "Well let's get going already!"

Differing much from Inaba, Okina was bustling with people, with many shops to visit. Marie looked around in wonder, eyes sparkling. You smiled at the sight, and said nothing to let her take it all in. Eventually she seemed to feel your gaze, and turned, face going pink.
"Wh-What?"
You shook your head, embarrassed. "Nothing, sorry. Um, so, anywhere look interesting to you?"
"... What's that?" Marie asked, pointing to the clothing store. From within the windows you could see racks upon racks of clothes.
"That's Croco Fur, want to go in? You might see something you like?" And to your question Marie timidly nodded.
The assistant was as peppy as ever, but luckily another customer had entered for her to talk to. Together you and Marie looked around the many shelves and racks, looking at the overwhelming amount of clothing.
"There's a lot of colours here, I'm used to just seeing blue all the time..." Marie muttered.
"Huh?" You glanced at her, but she shook her head.
"Anyway, how do people pick stuff?"
You shrugged. "I guess it just comes down to taste to know what you want. Like your clothes, they're really unique."
Feeling insulted, Marie frowned. "Unique?"
"Oh, not in a bad way!" You assured quickly. "I like them, they suit you."
Her response was delayed as her mouth opened and closed, until she tugged on the rim of her hat and mumbled. "Oh. Thanks..."
The sight made you lose your words too, and you scratched your burning cheek sheepishly. "No problem."
