When exactly you started feeling this unpleasant hollowness, you weren't sure. Each day blended into one another, and soon you realised that you were just going through the motions.

Things like going to school, being with friends, even eating and drinking... For a majority of the time, it just seemed pointless. Even getting up properly sometimes was a half a battle on its own, but eventually you'd get up, and continue.

At school you'd be around your usual group, but it didn't feel the same. You were so obviously a husk of your former self, you couldn't see yourself returning to that you.

Junpei yawned loudly, soon groaning as he stretched. "Man, we stayed at Tartarus for waaaay too long. I'm beat."

"Oh really? You were the one who was the most enthusiastic." Yukari pointed out, eyebrow raised. "... I do agree though, I'm exhausted. What about you Y/n?"

Her voice brought you out of your daze, but unable to shake off or cover up your unfortunately familiar lethargic state, you were only able to reply awkwardly.

"Hm? Oh, yeah." You nodded. "I'm... Just tired."

Yukari stared at you for a while, her mouth settling into a straight line. "Okay... If you say so."

She had said that, but she looked unconvinced. Fortunately, the teacher had arrived, leaving her no choice but to not ask anything more. Class continued as usual, as did the constant pestering thoughts in your head.

During this time however you had come to appreciate class. It kept your mind off things, even for a little while.

The last bell of the day rang, and you got up from your seat. Still somewhat on autopilot, you left the classroom to go straight back to the dorm.

Yukari fidgeted at her desk, watching you leave. Junpei yawned once while glancing between her and the door.

"What's up Yuka-tan, whoa!" He started before stumbling backwards from when she had shot up from her chair.

"Sorry, I have to go!" She briefly explained, rushing out the door. Junpei readjusted his cap with a sigh. Yukari wasn't the only one who had noticed something off, but he was glad she was making the first step to say something. Honestly, he wasn't sure how to ever bring it up.

For you, your mind had went adrift again with nothing now to momentarily distract it. Your legs had already been moving on their own in a direction, but overall you felt as though you were moving aimlessly through everything.

The leftover noises from school quietened into a fading echo, and without even really acknowledging it, you had left Gekkoukan. The breeze had elevated from the early morning, but you did nothing to remedy the chill you felt.

By the road the sign flashed red for pedestrians, but with your gaze directed to your feet you didn't notice. After stepping onto the road, everything seemed to pass slowly.

A horn blared, and looking up you could see the source of it heading straight for you; a car.

Your legs jolted and your hands twitched, but you didn't move. As ingle thought passed through your mind before you were forcefully pulled back by your arm, now safe on the pavement.

After being pulled you had lost your balance, falling back on your legs as you watched the car speed past. Soon after, you heard someone.

"What where you doing?!" Yukari asked, voice loud but filled with concern. She put a hand on your shoulder, and you turned to her as if you just realised she was there.
