Akira Kurusu x Shy!Fem!Reader (P5) [2]

As Akira promised, he walked with you to and from school. Luckily you lived quite close to where he stayed, so he was able to pick you up at your house without wasting a ton of time.

Today too, Akira was waiting patiently outside of your house. Your parents kept teasing you about having a boy wait for you, but you decided to just let them have their fun. 

"S-sorry! I couldn't find my bag... Did you wait long?" You asked, straightening your uniform. 

Akira smiled calmly, giving you a nod as a greeting. "Not at all." 

You out a hand over your racing heart, relieved. "Oh, good."

The two of you began walking in direction of the train station. You hoped it would go smoothly, unlike last time when you fell... 

"So," Akira spoke up, bring you out of your thoughts. You looked up at him expectedly. 

"Hm? What is it, Akira?"

He pushed up his glasses, despite them no falling down his face in the first place. "I wanted to ask, do you..."

"Yo, wait up!" 

He was interrupted as a blond boy rushed over, waving his arm. You noticed he had a slight limp. However, what soon took your attention was how bright his hair looked close up. Did he dye it?

"Sup, dude. Uh- who's this?" Brown eyes flickered over to you.

You bowed your head slightly, smiling shyly. "I'm Y/n..."

"Oh, the new girl, right? I'm Ryuji." He grinned at you.

You couldn't help but be so happy. You thought being a new student meant that you'd forever be a wallflower, especially with your shyness. But you has two friends now! 

Akira on the other hand, wasn't so thrilled. Although he greatly appreciated his best friend's presence, he showed up exactly at the wrong time. Nevertheless, he gave a greeting himself.

"Hey, Ryuji." He said tiredly. His cat meowed, as if he was saying hello as well.

Ryuji hung his head with a long sigh. "Man, today the exams results are up, huh?" 

He then looked at you with wide eyes as if in realisation of something. "Oh yeah, you don't have to worry about that. Lucky."

Being quite talkative, Akira's cat meowed again, sounding like he was laughing somewhat. It caused Ryuji to get irritated. 

"Mona, I swear to God-" 

You tilted your head. "Mona?"

The train arrived, the four of you (including the cat) now boarding it. 

Ryuji nodded. "It's Morgana, but we call him Mona in the- Uh... Mona's a nickname." 

"I see." You reached up to pet Morgana who was peering over Akira's shoulder. "Aw, you're so cute." 

You'd continued to stroke the soft fur, Morgana purring as you did so. You didn't notice Akira staring at you, eyes wide behind his glasses. 

The train turned a corner, swerving suddenly and causing you to stumble. Fortunately, you caught your balance. Akira took his chance to calm himself, not wanting to lose his cool in front of you.

Conversation continued as usual, and eventually you arrived at school.

Ryuji was forced to depart you both as he was in a different class, so it was just Akira and you again. There was still some time before class, so you took the time to make sure you had everything.
