Rise Kujikawa x Male!Reader (P4)

The investigation team was once again huddled around a Junes table. Half may have called it a meeting, but the other half would just call it messing around. 
You weren't feeling up to thinking hard anyhow; not with the way Rise was beaming at Yu on the other side of the table. 

You'd never tell to anyone else - it took you long enough to admit it to yourself - but you had feelings for the bubbly girl. But you kept them buried the best you could. It was obvious she was crushing on your leader Yu, and if that's what made her happy, so be it. You didn't want to lose her friendship... 

The meeting (hangout) was adjourned, and you stood, tired and wanting to go home. After you gave a quiet goodbye, you turned to head home. 

It wasn't too long before you heard footsteps behind you. "Y/n-kun, wait!"

Your heart felt like it did a triple beat as you looked. "Rise? What?" 

She slowed to your pace next to you once she caught up. "Jeez, you're supposed to wait for girls y'know?" 

You playfully rolled your eyes, you had this banter often. "You're an idol, you've got way more stamina than I do."

She giggled. "Okay, fair. Anyway, what's up?"

"Huh? I'm just going home." You had almost forgot your sour feelings from earlier until she spoke up. 

"You were frowning that whole time though..." She said almost with a pout. 

So she noticed... 

You paused. "I'm fine... I gotta go back and study. You can go back to Yu."

A look of confusion crossed her face. "Yu-senpai? Why would I-"

You didn't wait for her to finish, and her words trailed off in the air as you hurriedly walked away. This was hard, too hard for you to keep in. But you had to.

A few days later, Rise noticed something. You were definitely avoiding her... But why? You two had always got along, in fact she first showed her smile to you when you made her laugh at Marukyu Tofu. She remembered that moment well, and treasured it. 

Since then, she would say she was closest to you! You weren't afraid to be sarcastic with her, but you were never mean. Rise knew you had a soft spot deep down, and as time went on, she found herself wanting to be part of that. But she wouldn't admit that... you were the first friend she made after years of being put on a pedestal as an idol. She'd never mess that up. 

She's in class today, well after school ended, thinking it over once again. She was an underclassmen, so she couldn't confirm if you actually did  have something to study for. By the look on your face though, it was a quick lie you made up to get away.

Rise pouted. Why'd you want to get away from her so badly?! Wasn't she cute? She hoped you thought so...

She shook her head. There was no point going over it in her head... She should go on the offensive and find out herself! 

Standing up with a clatter of her chair, she decided to go find you. Clubs were still on, so you should be around. She walked around Yasogami, ignoring the stares as she did so. Finally she heard your voice, and turned with a smile.

"Y/n-kun—! ... huh?"

She did, in fact, find you. Surrounded by a group of girls. Rise felt her stomach twist uncomfortably. 

Your face was hidden from view, but she could see the girls smile happily. As she stopped in her tracks, she heard them speak. 

"Y/n-kun, Y/n-kun, are you doing anything after your club?" One asked excitedly.
