After such a long time of exploring the Shadow World, you and the rest of team became considerably stronger. However what came with experience also came with fatigue... And a lot of bruises.

You got it the worst, and as everyone made it back to the stack of televisions in the centre your trudging had turned into hobbling, barely able to even hold yourself up.

"Hey, Y/n-kun doesn't look so good. Rise pointed out with a frown.

Chie's eyes went wide as she looked over you. "Woah, she's right. You look pretty beat up."

"I feel that way." You replied jokingly, trying not to wince from your aching joints.

Teddie began to flail worriedly. "Then we better do something! Yuki-chan, quick!"

"Hm?" Yukiko began to ponder, a hand to her chin. "Well I suppose I can try making some soup. That'd help, right?"

"That'd make him feel worse..." Yosuke muttered.

"Going to the hospital is out of the question. They'd only ask questions." Naoto stated, then in a softer tone added, "and we don't need a repeat of last time..."

Teddie chuckled to himself as Rise playfully rolled her eyes. "So what do we do then? Y/n-kun's in bad shape."

"But none of us are trained in first aid or anything." Chie responded, eyebrows furrowing in thought.

The group exchanged looks with one another, unsure on what their next move should be. As you were busy trying to keep yourself standing upright, Yu spoke up.

"Why don't you help, Kanji?"

"Huh? Me?" He answered, confused.

Rise nodded, her face lighting up. "Oh yeah, come to think of it, you seem like the type to know first aid."

Kanji grit his teeth, voice raising on its own accord. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Placing her fist against her flat palm, Yukiko beamed. "Oh you're right, I can see it!"

"Hey!"

Teddie swayed on his feet. "Then it's decided! Kanji, be a beary good nurse for Y/n, okay?"

Without leaving room for any further conversation, everyone left, Yu patting Kanji's shoulder as he passed by him. You were still left surprised yourself, but managed to laugh at the situation.

"Sorry, looks like you're stuck with me." You said, stepping forward to leave as well. However your legs didn't agree, and you stumbled, ankles twisting awkwardly in your attempt to remain balanced.

"W-Woah there." Kanji's arms shot out to grab you, giving you support as he let out a sigh. "It ain't a bother or anything... You seriously alright?"

You shrugged with a half-hearted grin. "I'm fine." Your words were soon betrayed by the cough that left your mouth right after. "Okay... I could be doing better."

Kanji leant back. "You got that right. Let's get outta here."

Luckily your house wasn't far, but the journey still felt much longer than it should've due to your exhausted state. After clumsily opening the door and having Kanji lead you to the couch, all fatigue you had been tolerating became a much heavier weight to bear, and you ended up collapsing in a heap amidst the cushions.

Kanji watched, concern clear on his face. "Damn, you really overdid it."

"Maybe." You agreed, letting out a soft 'ow' as you tried to become comfortable. "Well, no pain no gain, right?"
