Ann Takamaki x Male!Reader (P5) [2]

In your time of modelling you slowly began to get closer to Ann. You'd chat during breaks of photo shoots and would get lunch afterwards if neither of you were busy. You were glad to meet her, but you wanted to ask if you could hang out with her outside of your modelling careers. 

Despite the confidence that's as shown on magazine covers, it didn't translate we'll when it came to real life affairs. Part of you was worried that Ann wouldn't be interested on becoming closer friends, and thinking that, you could only sigh.

That was until a hand cheerfully patted your shoulder. "Hey!"

You jumped, juggling your phone in your hands before thankfully catching it. You turned, seeing the same smiling face you adored to see. 

"Oh, Ann." You greeted. "Done already?"

She nodded, her hand returning to her side. "Uh-huh! Now that I've got a bunch of free time, I don't know what to do with it."

Was this your chance?! "R-Really? If you're bored, then..."

You managed to invite her before, this should be no different!

"Y/n-kun, you're next!"

All anticipation faded, replaced with a grim disappointment from the sound of the sudden interruption.

Ann didn't seem to notice your current state of anguish, and continued to grin. "Looks like it's your turn."

"Yeah..." Your grimace slowly lifted in place of a sheepish smile. Her optimism was simply contagious. "Well, see you later, I guess."

Ann waved as you turned away. "Yep, see ya!"

As you left the area and she watched your fading figure, she sighed. "Ah. Maybe next time I'll be able to ask..."

You rubbed your stiff shoulders. "I should really stretch more beforehand..." Posing could be hard work at times. 

The streets of Shibuya were busy as usual, the hustle and bustle never ending even as the sky dimmed to a warm orange glow. Despite that there was still plenty to do in the city, bit that thought only left you with a sense of melancholy that you couldn't shake off. If you had just worked up the courage to ask properly, then you could've been spending time with Ann right now...

"... Oh?" Footsteps approached, followed by a familiar voice. "I didn't expect to see you again so quick!"

You looked around, bewildered before your eyes settled on the exact person you were thinking of. "Uh, yeah, me too!" You absentmindedly scratched your cheek, smiling back at her. "What're you doing here?"

"Like I said, I have some freetime!" She answered, her voice then lowering to a mumble. "Thank goodness for that, after the last-"

"Sorry, what did you say?"

Ann went rigid, looking startled. "Oh, nothing!" She quickly recovered. "Anyway, want to go do something? If you're not busy, of course!"

It was your turn to freeze, and as her words sunk in you could only stare at her in shock. "You- you want to hang out?"

She nodded in response. "Yeah! ... Is that okay?"

You sprung back into action with a quick dismissive wave of the hand. "Definitely!"

And so you began walking side-by-side with Ann, but your nervousness from earlier hadn't ended there. You were overjoyed of course, but you had no ideas at all of where to go!
