"C'mon Misturu, let's go somewhere!" You suggested happily, leaning forward to grab her hands.
Her face showed bewilderedment for a moment, glancing between you and the chair she was previously sitting on as you helped her stand. "But, I have so much do-"
"Just do it later, it's nice outside!" You responded, smiling earnestly at her. "It's no fun staying in learning... What was it again?"
"French." She replied easily, eyes softening. "Shouldn't you be learning it as well?"
"... Oui?"
A hand raised up against her mouth, a chuckle muffled behind it. "Yes, that's right. If you studied more-"
"I know, I know! Okay, I'll sit down and study." You promised. "... If you hang out with me today."
Mitsuru paused, then smiled gently. "... Alright, then let's study first."
When you gawked at her in reply she laughed again, moving aside to allow you space. "You didn't think you'd get away with it that easily, did you? We have our duties."
"Ah..." Letting out a sigh, you posed reluctance as you sat down but soon found you couldn't hold back the smile tugging on your face. "True. Well, I guess I can tolerate it if you're the one teaching me."
Her pale face reddened but she remained composed as she picked up her pen. "You certainly have no troubles with pleasantries..."
"Hahah, that's one thing I've got going for me." You said, taking the pen she handed you. Your fingers brushed against hers during the action.
With a serene smile, Misturu rested the book across her lap and yours.

The setting sun seemed to rest over the horizon, the sky becoming a welcoming and cosy orange. You held back a yawn, still in a sleep daze until a certain someone called your name.
"May I ask what you're daydreaming about, Y/n?" Misturu asked, her hand never pausing from its moving on the page.
"Oh, nothing." You replied. "Well, actually I was thinking about the past."
"The past?" She asked. Her pen stopped its movements, the inks flowing coming to a halt. "I see..."
You nodded, standing up from your place on the desk. The student council room was very familiar now.
"The reminds me of back then." You brought up, tone filled with a warm nostalgia. "You always were a hard worker."
"Of course." Mitsuru responded. "Work must be done, after all. We have our duties."
"Right..." You said absentmindedly, approaching her desk. She had resumed her writing.
You knew that her words held a heavier melancholy to them, but you didn't mention. You also knew that she was referring to a certain decision made when the two of you were young. If you were to be honest, you never really thought about it properly, about marriage and things similar. You never qualms with it either; you always spent time with Mitsuru, so you just assumed it'd be no different.
Mitsuru picked up on your silence, looking up at you expectantly. You didn't notice this until you realised you were staring into her eyes for longer than a couple seconds.
"Wh-What?" You questioned. Her tense expression relaxed as she held back a smile.
"You always make the same face when you're thinking, didn't you know that?" She asked rhetorically. "Well, if you need to tell me something, you know I'll lend an ear."
