Ever since that transfer student came to Gekkoukan, it felt like your world had turned completely upside down. Before your school days consisted of regular tasks and clubs activities, and what stressed you out the most was the anticipation of seeing your exam results on the board in hall. Now the most stress-inducing thing in your life went by a name, and that was Ryoji Mochizuki.
His presence irked you the moment he opened his mouth. He was only halfway to his seat when he started flirting to that Aigis girl in class! She didn't take to his attempt too kindly, which at least granted you some peace of mind.
You were probably overthinking it. This guy was just a playboy anyway, there's no way he'd actually be popular.
... Or so you thought, but you were completely wrong! It seemed like everyone in school had flocked to him in some way or another. You briefly wondered if his amount of fans outnumbered even Sanada-senpai's or Kirijo-senpai's. If that was true though, then the world surely must be ending.
You sighed to yourself in the library. You came for some peace and quiet, but even inside the spacious room there was mentions of Ryoji in hushed whispers.
Was it possible to go anywhere without hearing about him?! You came here to study, you had no choice since you couldn't concentrate in class. He just happened to sit near your seat and his obnoxious yellow scarf made you lose focus.
You continue to mumble complaints to yourself, eyeing the bookshelves. It was then that a book stood out to you. "Oh, there it is."
However even with your find it seemed your day wasn't getting any better, as it was just out of reach. You jumped but your hands would just flail in the air, and frustrated you decided to glare at it instead. If you were calmer you would've realised you could've asked Saori for help, but you were too mad at the moment to think about logical solutions.
An arm appeared from above you, pulling out the book. You turned to meet Ryoji, face to face with that charismatic smile.
"Was this what you were looking for?"
You frowned. "Yes, it is. Can I have it back?"
Ryoji didn't comply right away and instead looked at the cover of the book. "Hey, weren't we looking at something like this today?"
"Yes." You curtly replied. "But I couldn't focus in class."
He looked at you blankly for a moment before he began to smile again. "Oh, you couldn't? Were you distracted?"
You could already feel your teeth grinding. What was he implying?!
"Could you blame me? All your fangirls talk too loud." You answered, holding out your hand. "Now can I have my book?"
Ryoji's eyes twinkled playfully as he finally handed it back to you. "I'm sorry about that. I'd just hate to disturb you. Why don't I make it up to you? We can have our own study session."
"What? I don't need that at all. And besides, since when were you top of the class?" You shot back.
"You don't need to compliment me so much, but I'll take it." He responded cooly.
You rolled your eyes, but what he said was somewhat amusing. Seeing your small smile, it mirrored onto his face. Once you had noticed it yourself you quickly shook your head.
"Even I did say yes, I'd just get pestered by your fangirls all day."
"Oh, Y/n-chan, don't worry about that. I promise it'll be fun." He replied. "So, deal?"
