A large yawn escaped your mouth, your breath causing there to be condensation in the air. Your childhood friend walking next to you chuckled.

"You didn't sleep, did you? You can't get stronger if you're always staying up late." He scolded lightly, although there was a light smile on his face,

You rolled your eyes playfully. "I know Aki, but I'm not too worried about 'getting stronger'. It's not like I'm training like a certain boxer."

"That is true." Akihiko admitted, tucking his hand into his pocket. There was a lull in the conversation, but it didn't feel awkward. You yawned again.

"It's Junpei's fault, anyway. He bet that I couldn't beat that level, so I had to show him." You explained, proud that you had proved the cap-wearing boy wrong.

Akihiko raised an eyebrow. "Junpei?"

"Yeah, you're in the dorm with him, aren't you? Kinda wish I was there too. It'd probably be fun." You pondered aloud.

He thought of all the events that transpired in the dorm. "Uh, yeah. Anyway, you can't keep this up. Just because you're a first year doesn't mean you can slack off."

You gave him a mock salute. "Yes, sir."

Then in the distance, you could hear excited squeals. The sound was unfortunately familiar, it was Akihiko's fangirls. You learned the hard way that you couldn't be too close to him in public.

"Well, that's my cue. I'll go on ahead. See ya!" You gave him a friendly wave, jogging to the school gates. The red-vested boy watched after you, lifting his own hand into a half-hearted wave.

"There he is! Akihiko-senpai!!"

"If it isn't Y/n-tan. I guess you owe me something, huh?" Junpei asked with a grin. You smirked back at him, dropping your bag on your desk.

"Actually, you owe me something. I beat the level."

His mouth fell open, his eyes cartoonishly wide. "What?! That's impossible!"

"Oh, it's possible. These dark circles didn't appear for no reason." You responded, pointing to your eyes.

"Man..."

Yukari only watched you both with a raised eyebrow. "You stayed up all night just for some game?"

"It was important." You answered. She groaned, eyes becoming half lidded.

"Clearly. Anyway, you need to pay attention today, no falling asleep!"

You waved your hand, nodding with no real commitment to what she said. She sighed, taking a seat. Just in time as Ms. Toriumi had arrived.

The day went by as normal, with you occasionally dozing off. Every time you did, Yukari would kick your leg lightly to make you wake up. You were a little annoyed she wouldn't let you sleep, but overall grateful as Ms. Toriumi would make you bake a cake for her if she caught you sleeping in her class.

It was finally lunch time, and you were still exhausted. It was probably your fiftieth yawn today, and Yukari didn't look impressed.

"This is what happens when you stay up all night." She reprimanded, but her expression softened seeing your tired look. "Maybe getting something to eat will help."

You nodded. "Yeah, maybe."

You continued to converse with Junpei and Yukari for a while, when excited whispering caught your attention.
