Yukari Takeba x Shy!Male!Reader (P3)

With Chistmas being over, people now had to wait for the year to draw to a close. Some had plans to watch fireworks, others would spend times tho emits watching the countdown.

You weren't too bothered when it came to celebrating the new year, but your girlfriend, Yukari had asked if you wanted to spend it with her at the dorm. You were at least an acquaintance to the people who resided there but you weren't great at talking to them. Still, you could tell they meant well and that they were good people.

You were always happy to spend with your girlfriend as well, so you agreed. There was still a coule days left before the new year, so you did what you usually did to spend time until you got a phone call.

"Yo dude, it's Junpei!" Was the enthusiastic voice that came from your phones speakers. 

You knew Junpei as he was in your class, but only become friends with him through Yukari. He was a lot more open and to the point than you, which you somewhat admired.

"Hey, what's up?" You asked. He let out a carefree laugh.

"Nothin', but let's hang out! You busy?"

The invitation was definitely sudden, but you weren't doing anything in particular. "Uh, sure. Where will I meet you?"

"I'm at Paulownia Mall, just give me a holler when you see me." Junpei told your and with that he ended the call. 

Instead of the usual quiet day, you were going to spend it with the upbeat Junpei.

Sure enough Junpei was there, sitting cross-legged on the bench by the fountain. You waved at him as you approached, him mirroring the gesture with a grin.

"Sup, how's it going?" He started the conversation as he budged up the bench, leaving more for you.

You scratched the back of your neck, shrugging. "Nothing, really... Just the usual." 

"Man, I get that. Waiting for the new year is such a drag." He complained, dropping his head to the side. Then he raised it again, shooting you a sleazy smile.

"But at least you've got one thing to look forward to, y'know?"

You blinked, utterly confused. "Huh? W-What thing?"

Junpei playfully elbowed you, laughing once again. "C'mon, dude! You know what I'm talking about. When that countdowns you'll be kissin' Yuka-tan."

Just as the words left his lips your face had started to flush. "What?! W-Where are you getting that idea from?"

"That's the tradition, right? Probably won't be a big deal for you anyway, you've kissed before haven't you?"

You stayed silent. Junpei lurched forward from his relaxed position on the bench, gaping at you. 

"Are you serious? Not once?!" 

"Shh!" You desperately tried to shush him. "I just... There hasn't been an opportunity..."

Junpei straightened his cap from it's lopsided state due to his sudden movements form before, now looking confident. "Well, here's your oppurtunity then, dude!"

"... You don't mean...?"

"Yeah, you're spending time New Years with her anyway, aren't you?" Junpei asked, already knowing the answer. At your silence, he continued with a grin.

"So it's perfect! Don't wimp out though!" 

You looked off to the side. "I'm not going to 'wimp out'..."
