'Come over I need help !!!'
Of course with a text like that, anyone would be worried. It wasn't what you were expecting when you heard your phone go off. You didn't bother waiting around and thinking what the situation might be, instead you rushed to your girlfriend's house.
When you got there, it seemed the same as usual. You approached the door, unsure whether you should knock or not. You let your hand lightly rest above the door handle, both surprised and worried when the door was unlocked.
The house was quiet aside from the low droning of a television. Stepping inside completely, you slowly shut the door.
"Chie...?" You called.
You heard sudden footsteps bounding down the staircase, seeing Chie practically fling herself towards you with a frightened expression. Just seeing it filled you with anxiety.
"What is it? What happened?" You questioned, putting your hands on her shoulders to calm her. Her eyebrows drawn together, she looked up at you.
"There's... There's a huge spider in my room!"
All feelings of worry vanished.
"W-What? What's with that look?!" Chie, still in a panic, asked as she frowned at you.
Taking one hand off her shoulder, you used it to face palm. "Chie... That's it?"
"What do you mean 'that's it?'! It's a super huge spider!" She protested with frustration.
You sighed, but nodded. "I know you're scared of bugs, but I really thought you were in trouble." You explained.
Her mad expression morphed into one of guilt as she looked sadly at you.
"Oh... I get it. S-Sorry, I didn't really think of how it'd sound." She apologised. "... It really is a massive spider though!"
You laughed a bit, ruffling her hair. "I'll get it."
Just as you moved to go upstairs you saw her ears go a bit pink. Soon she joined you, hiding behind you as you walked to her room.
"If you were scared, why'd you stay upstairs?" You questioned curiously, just before opening the door.
"I wanted to make sure I knew where it was. I'd be more scared if I lost sight of it." Chie explained, folding her arms with a shiver.
You tried to hold back a chuckle, but failed as it came out as hum. "You didn't try using your Kung fu on it?"
"Y/n!!" Your girlfriend whined, lightly pushing you forward. You let yourself laugh aloud and hovered your hand above the handle.
"Alright, wish me luck. If I don't come back..."
Chie put her hands on her hips. "Don't say things like that! J-Just go already!"
You smiled with a nod and went inside. From Chie's descriptions, you half-expected it to be some type of lovecraftian monster, but actually it was no bigger than your thumb.
Finding a book and an empty cup, you carefully covered the spider on the desk and slid it to the end, moving it to the book. Then you opened the window and let it off on the window's edge.
You returned to the hall, smiling at Chie. She looked back at you, looking uncertain.
"Mission completed, the monster had been vanquished." You stated jokingly, but felt happy to see her so relieved.
She let out a sigh, putting a hand by her heart. "Good..."
To your surprise, she walked close to you and averted her eyes. About to ask what was wrong, you opened your mouth, only to be engulfed in a hug.
"Ch-Chie?" Her forwardness had caught you off guard, making your own cheeks start to feel warm. You couldn't see that hers were the same, as she had buried her face in your chest.
"Thank you." She said genuinely. You put your hand on her head again, lightly ruffling her short locks. From her tone anyone would think you just saved her life instead of getting rid of a little spider, but you were just content she was relaxed now.
"It was a tough battle."
You heard her laugh, it being muffled only slightly. She released herself form the hug a bit to talk clearly. "You're telling me, I was a hostage!"
You joined in on her laughter. "Well, good work keeping it at bay. Now that I'm here anyway, want to go somewhere?"
Her face lit up as she grinned. "You bet! I really worked up an appetite with all that stress!"
"Aiya's?" You guessed, although you already knew the answer.
"Aiya's!" Chie confirmed, taking your hand and practically bouncing down the steps.

With Inaba being the small place it was, the walk to the restaurant took almost no time at all. Maybe that was because of how fast Chie was walking though.
It was crowded as usual, but the seats by the counter were open. After ordering, the two of you chatted as usual when Chie went silent.
"What's up?" You asked, nudging her slightly.
She fiddled with her hands, tapping the tips of her index fingers together.
"Well, um..." She spoke, laughing bashfully. "Thanks again for your help. I'm sorry for making it such a big deal though..."
"It's okay, a lot of people are scared of bugs." You replied reassuringly.
Chie frowned. "I guess, but I just feel really silly... Oh! And um,I'm sorry for making you worry with that text."
You chuckled a bit, leaning in close. "What's with you? You don't need to apologise so much. I wanted to help." You said honestly. "I'm actually happy you rely on me with things like that, since I'm always relying on you."
She looked unconvinced, staring at you with her eyebrows drawn together. "Really? You rely on me?"
You nodded. "Of course, both here and in the TV World." You told her truthfully, lowering your voice a bit so others didn't hear.
It was faint, but the corners of her lips turned up. "... Thanks, Y/n-kun."
The expression of gracefulness on her face made you falter for a second, and you quickly looked in front of you. "Y-You don't need to thank me for that."
Chie's smile widened as she giggled. "I wanted to!"
Her response made a smile spread on your face, albeit it being one of embarrassment.
