Having some free time between the phantom thief meetings, Akira had asked you to meet with him after school, which of course you were thrilled about. With how nerve wracking waiting for the deadline was, you were glad to unwind by spending time with your boyfriend.
The two of you made your way to the park, taking a long and leisurely stroll around the area. The whole time, Akira's fingers stayed gently intertwined with your own. At times the sun's rays became more of a hindrance rather than something pleasant, but his tall frame blocked them away from you easily.
After some time you came across an empty bench, sitting down and making yourself comfortable. Akira followed your movement, and on instinct he sat closly so his shoulder bumped against yours.
With the view of the pond glimmering from the sun as well as the quietness of your surroundings, you couldn't have felt any more calm. It was as if time had momentarily stopped.
Taking note of your silence, Akira watched you for a few moments before speaking. "Feeling any better?"
You looked back at him, smiling sheepishly. "How did you know something was up?"
Akira gave a casual shrug but the small devious smirk on his face was undeniable. "Boyfriend's intuition?"
You laughed in response, and he chuckled alongside you. After some time, you nodded, brushing back your hair absentmindedly.
"I just hope it all goes well... Is this how you felt before?" You asked. It's been some time since you joined the team, but you still felt anxious about how things would play out.
"It gets easier." Akira replied reassuringly, and you smiled.
"I should've expected that kind of response from our leader." You leaned against him more, exhaling slowly. "I really admire that."
The dark-haired boy remained silent, which was natural for him. However unknown to you he was simply rendered speechless by your kind and genuine words, and so couldn't think of something witty to say. Instead, he brought a hand up to your head where he stroked your hair.
You closed your eyes, letting yourself relax. A part of you was still nervous about the deadline, but with Akira by your side as well as the rest of your team, you were sure things would work out alright. You trusted them.
On the other hand Akira let out a relieved sigh, quiet enough that you didn't hear it. He didn't show it, but he was a bit worried himself that he wouldn't be able to calm your nerves, but you seemed to be in better form now.
Unfortunate the peaceful moment didn't last long, as drops of rain landed on your head. It started as a couple, but some escalated into a unwavering downpour.
Prepared just as he was during heists, Akira brought out an umbrella from his bag. Morgana was currently away at the moment, but you hoped he got away from the rain.
"I guess that's our que to go." Akira said, beckoning you to stand under the umbrella. You did so with enthusiasm, wanting to get out of the cold.
"Thanks." You said, wrapping your arms around yourself. Since it was summer and quite hot out, you didn't bring a jacket. "Well, it was nice while it lasted." You added jokingly.
Akira nodded. "Lucky for you, I know a place."
"I wonder what it could be..." You replied, smiling. He mirrored it with one of his own, and the two of you began walking together once more.

After travelling some time, Akira brought you to Leblanc, a very comforting café. The scent of coffee was instantly recognisable as you entered, the calming sound of the chiming bell above the door ringing after coming in.
