Rise Kujikawa x Male!Boxer!Reader (P4) [2]

"You think it's a first year called Y/n L/n?" Yu questioned over the table, Rise nodding on the other end.

"Definitely. I recognised him right away." She replied.

Chie's eyebrows drew together in worry. "But we caught the killer... Didn't we?"

"I thought so, but not I'm not so sure." Yukiko admitted, looking equally concerned.

Feeling the uneasiness rise in the group, Yu intervened. "Right now we can just do what we do best. We'll try avoid it happening all together. Can we count on you, Rise, Kanji?"

Kanji scratched the back of his head. "Guess so. I don't have a clue what the dude even looks like though."

"I'll introduce you. If we keep an eye on him, then we should be able to prevent him being kidnapped." Rise said, eyes narrowed with concentration.

Everyone exchanged looks. She blinked. "What?"

"Uh, nothing. You just seem extra pumped up." Chie explained, tilting her head curiously. "Are you friends with Y/n-kun?"

"Or maybe more than friends." Added Yosuke with a grin. 

"Huh? It's not like that, Senpai! Th-This is our job, that's all." Rise countered with a frown. "Anyway, we've got our plan. Meeting adjourned!"

With her abrupt response, she stood from the table and exited the Junes food court, leaving the rest of the team to watch after her in surprise. Yu's expression remained blank, but his words rung with pure  bewilderment.

"I thought it was my job to end meetings..."

Rise had found out what classroom you were part of, and so stood outside with Kanji in tow. It's only been a day since you two talked last, so it wouldn't be too weird for her to waiting for you like this. Would it? 

She shook her head. Either way it didn't matter, this was for your safety! How would she go about telling you anyway? 

Watching Rise's ever changing facial expressions, Kanji raised an eyebrow. "Uh... Rise-"

The door opened. "Shh, he's coming out!" 

Kanji heaved a sigh, but complied, and soon enough you had walked out into the hallway. You didn't expect to have two people waiting for you there though.

"Kujikawa-san?" You looked at her, puzzled, before your eyes moved to Kanji standing alongside her. "And... Tatsumi-san, right?"

"It's fine, you don't gotta act like you don't know me." Kanji answered. "We got somethin' important to say to you so you better listen up."

Your expression hardened, as if those words were almost nostalgic to you, but not in a positive way. 

"And what's that?"

As the hallway grew desolate, the atmosphere became tense. Rise hesitated before sighing, speaking upfront.

"There's good way to say, but you're in trouble." She warned. "You're going to get kidnapped, so you have to be careful."

"What? Kidnapped..." You echoed, but your tone didn't hold the anxiety that Kanji and Rise expected. You looked up at them both, the look on your face stern. "Who did you hear that from?"

"That ain't important right now... And wait a sec, you're actually taking us seriously?" Kanji commented. 

Rise glared at him, scolding him in a hushed voice. "Kanji! If you say that he'll think we're kidding!"
