Due to a long and tiring exploration of a new Tartarus floor, exhaustion was very much prominent in the people residing in the dorm. Being so tired, a couple of people had woken up later than some, leading the group overall to be separated when it came to travelling to school.
You were one who had woken up long after your alarm had first begun ringing. To be fair though, you worked hard in Tartarus. As well as the strong shadow at the end of every block, there was also the added effort of walking all the way to it.
That being the reason for your exhaustion, you slept in much longer. It was then that something felt terribly wrong, and you shot up. Realising you were missing school and that Mitsuru would most likely freeze you to death, you quickly got changed and ran down to the stairs.
On your way, you had collided into Minako, the leader. One would think you'd hold a grudge for how hard she worked the group in Tartarus, but she looked burnt out herself judging from the slightly dark circles under her red eyes. Even still, she greeted you with a smile.
"Minako, sorry." You rubbed your head. "You just wake up, too?"
She nodded with a giggle. "I could probably fall asleep standing up right now."
The ticking of the clock on the wall brought you out of the pleasant conversation you were having. "We better go, c'mon!"
Lightly grasping her wrist, the two of you rushed down the stairwell and into the lounge, continuing the journey up until the large doors. Aigis, clearly intent on coming to school, was in her school uniform.
"Aigis, why are you here?" Minako questioned.
"Yeah, it's not like you can sleep in." You added curiously.
Aigis' expression remained somewhat blank as she looked at you both. "That is correct. I stayed to wait for you and Y/n-san."
"Me too...?" You wondered aloud. Ever since Aigis joined, she was intent on sticking by Minako's side, for reasons unknown to you. Not that you weren't happy that she waited, but still.
"Yes." Was Aigis' short reply.
Looking restless, Minako linked arms with Aigis, her other side linking with yours. "Okay, we're here! Let's go!"
It already didn't help you much that you were tired, but practically sprinting to the station left you utterly exhausted, more so than when you first woke up. It would've been fine if you could find a seat and close your eyes for a little while, but...
"It seems this time is when business workers travel." Aigis observed, keeping her cool even when being shoved with every movement with vehicle made. "Most informative."
Minako let out a half-hearted laugh. "So that's why Mitsuru-senpai makes us leave early... Well, we know now at least."
"I wish I knew before..." You responded with a sigh, wincing when the vehicle moved once more and a sea of people moved with it. You were ultimately pushed with them, holding onto the handles above for dear life.
You were about to turn your head to speak to Minako again when you found you couldn't see her at all.
"Minako? Where'd you-?" You cut yourself off as you looked down and saw her brown ponytail, stepping back as much as you could. ... Which wasn't much.
"Did you get shoved too?" You asked. When she didn't answer, you peered at her. "You okay?"
You managed to see her face clearly, which to your initial surprise was a tint pinker than it's usual tone. Then you realised why, and found your own face going warm.
