"Sorry, I'm pretty busy today! But I'll see you later!" You had promised, before rushing down the hall. Minato watched after you with a usual indifferent expression, but it didn't portray his thoughts in the most accurate way.

He was used to being busy himself, that much was natural due to balancing schoolwork and Tartarus as well as social interactions; his schedule always felt full. However even with all that, he wanted to spend time with you, his girlfriend, the most.

Minato thought nothing of it at first, after all you had your plans as well, but as the amount of declines increased, he felt his mood grow gloomy. Especially when he saw you talking with Hidetoshi in the hallway that one time, or when you'd talk to Bebe and even at the dorm you'd chat away with Junpei all the time.

Like right now, the two of you were exchanging got stories and laughing. The leader only looked on silently, feigning apathy as he half-listened to the songs playing through his earphones. He didn't know why he felt so conflicted. Junpei was a friend of his as well, so was Hidetoshi. That was true, so why was this irritation feeling in his chest so prominent?

"And you know, there's been some pretty spooky things going on in the dorm." Junpei mentioned.

You raised your eyebrows. "Really? Like what?"

"Some say there's a ghost haunting the hallway where the girls rooms are. You better be careful, Y/n-tan."

"Sure sure, I will." You chuckled.

Junpei stretched, grinning to himself. "But if you need a little comforting, don't be afraid to knock on my door."

In an abrupt move Minato stood from the couch, walking towards you both. You looked up at him quizzically when he took your hand, pulling you up beside him.

"Come with me for a sec," was his only explanation, and just like that he began striding towards the stairway. It didn't take long for the two of you to make it to his room due to his oddly quick pace.

When he finally stopped and sat down, you took a seat beside him on his bed. "... Uh, what's up?"

The nonchalant expression he usually wore was present even now, but the slight crease in his eyebrows betrayed it. You peered at him, feeling worried.

"Minato?"

He shrugged. "Nothing... Do you have somewhere else to be?"

"No?" You began to think to yourself. "Oh wait, I was going to call Kazushi later-"

You cut your own sentence off as you felt a pair of arms wrap around your waist. Out of the corner of your eyes you could see wisps of your boyfriend's dark hair, and feel the soft stray strands brush against your cheek. Him being so affection so suddenly caught you off guard, and you blushed.

"M-Minato?" You repeated, turning your head slightly. The shyer part of you wish you hasn't as you misjudged just how close he was, your nose almost bumping into his. Still even in the close proximity, Minato's cool gaze didn't waver in the slightest.

It was silent for a moment other than the sound of your quickened heartbeat ringing in your ears, when he opened his mouth to speak again in his calming tone.

"How come... You have so many plans?" He asked. "... With other people."

His question threw you off, and you blinked, puzzled. "Huh? What do you mean?"

Minato squeezed you unconsciously, his chest leaning on your back. He hesitated again, but eventually continued.  "Are you... Sick of me?"

"What?" You questioned back in surprise. "No, not at all! Why do you think that?"

Judging by his now relaxed shoulders, your answer gave him some ease. "We don't spend as much time together." His already soft voice went quieter as he trailed off. "... And it feels like you're talking to other guys a lot more than before."

You were stunned for a moment, but soon giggles escaped your lips. Minato leaned further into you, sending you a half-hearted glare from your shoulder.

"What? What are you laughing for?"

You shook your head, attempting to compose yourself. "It's nothing, it's just I didn't think I'd ever hear something like that from you."

It was his turn to blink in awe as he watched you get over the last of your laughter. Even in his worst moods he loved to see you smile. "That so?"

"Yeah, I mean you're always so calm and collected." You told him. "It's definitely admirable, but it's nice seeing different reactions from you."

"It feels like you're making fun of me..." Minato muttered, his hands moving to tickle your stomach. You immediately jumped to stop him, laughing as you sought out to grab his hands. "No, I'll laugh more if you do that!"

After about a minute you had gotten hold of his hands, and he gently interlocked his fingers in between yours.

"I didn't mean to avoid you or anything like that, I really was just busy. Hidetoshi needed some help with the student council, and Yuko asked me to help with the track team. I'm supposed to check up on Kazushi to make sure he's not late." You explained. "Plus Bebe just needed me so he could check some measurements."

Minato sighed next to your ear. "And Junpei...?"

You chuckled. "Junpei's just my friend! Or wait, was it because of what he said earlier...?" When he lay his forehead flat on your shoulder to hide his face, it answered your question. "He's just kidding around, you know that! No need to be jealous."

"Okay, fine." He replied, lifting his head. "I never said I was jealous though."

Your responded with a knowing hum. He narrowed his eyes at you. "I'm not."

"Really...?" You asked teasingly, unable to stop yourself from smiling. It seemed to be contagious as a small but still noticeable smile formed on Minato's face as well.

It took you by surprise when you were pulled back, and soon enough you were lying on Minato's chest. It was difficult for you not to become bashful at the sudden action, but the closeness between you both now wasn't unwanted in the slightest.

As you rested your cheek against his shirt, and his arms were laid across your shoulders, you looked up at him. "Just tell me if you feel this way, okay? I can always make time for you." You told him despite your warm face.

"... I will." He responded. "But not because I'm jealous."

You giggled again. "Sure, sure."

At the sound of your comforting laugh, Minato could relax fully, especially with the feeling of you in his arms.

"I guess since the girls dorms are haunted, you should just stay here with me."
