The day began with the sun shining brightly through your curtains, causing you to wake up from your slumber. It was Monday, so you had a whole week of school ahead of you.
It wasn't that you'd despised school or anything like that. On exams you did well, or at least got a passing mark, and nobody acted cruel towards you. Although sometimes you'd wonder if that would be better.
You weren't a very social person, in fact it was extremely difficult to even start up a conversation with someone for you. You kept to yourself mostly, and you suppose doing so had caused your classmates to want to avoid you.
Shrugging off your pestering thoughts, you changed into your black uniform and left for Gekkoukan High.

Class began like usual, with students complaining after being forced to sit down and stop chatting. The teacher, Ms. Toriumi looked over the class with a frown. It seemed she wasn't looking forward to coming back to school, either.
"Settle down! I understand it's a pain but pay attention or I'll be the one getting in trouble, alright?" She scolded.
Time felt like it passed at a snail pace. The heat of the sun shining down into the class made the room feel like a sauna, making it hard to concentrate, if some people were even concentrating at all.
Ms. Toriumi opened a drawer under her desk and brought out a stack of paper. The sight causing the class to collectively groan and whine.
"I've marked your exams. Were some of you even listening to me? The questions were obvious!" She muttered loudly, giving the papers out.
You watched the paper be placed on your desk and peered at it. Alright, you passed.
"Iori, did you close your eyes and pick at random?! You'll have to retake the test."
Junpei Iori, a boy in your class raised his head in shock. "W-what? But I got some right, didn't I?"
Ms, Toriumi looked back at him with narrowed eyes.
"Barely. Speak to me after class."
Junpei sighed, pulling his cap down over his eyes. There were stifled giggles resounding in the classroom.
"Quiet, some of you did no better!"
The giggles stopped.

The bell had rung, causing the students to promptly leave the classroom. You took your time, picking up your bag.
Just as you neared the door, your name was called. You turned to the voice with a curious expression.
"What is it, Ms. Toriumi?" You asked, walking over to her.
"You did well on the exam, unlike someone." She said. Junpei slid further down in his seat.
You were unsure of what to say. "Um, yeah. I guess I did..."
"Great, you can tutor Iori then, can't you?" Even though she was asking, it didn't seem like a request, instead it felt like an order.
Junpei shot up in his seat. "What? But I don't need a tutor, teach!"
"Judging from the marks on your exam, I'd say you do." Ms. Toriumi replied matter-of-factly.
She turned back to face you. "You'd be a great help. At this rate, I doubt he's going to graduate." She said.
"You don't hold back..." Junpei mumbled. She gave him a sharp glare.
