The feeling of stares being on you when you were escorted by your bodyguards wasn't new, but it still frustrated you all the same. Being born into a rich family, you were treated much differently by others. Growing up you had quickly learnt that the people who befriended you had ulterior motives.
With that information always in your mind, you purposefully isolated yourself, which was just as well as nobody could get near you anyways with your body guards. People would see that your walls were built high, and didn't bother going through the trouble to knock them down.
Such a routine was tiresome, as your family were always moving around. Due to that you had to constantly deal with new people faking interest in you until they became bored.
You watched out the windows of the car, seeing the busy roads grow sparse until there was noo one driving alongside you. As the city lights faded in the distance, you noticed the amount of grass and trees had increased.
Eventually the car closed to a stop, and then the door was opened for you. You sighed as you let your hand drop. They didn't let you do anything yourself.
Stepping outside, you noticed one of your bodyguards on the phone, although he wasn't so talkative. The call soon ended, the man looking at you with pity behind the sunglasses.
"Mr. L/n, your father couldn't meet you here, there's issues with the new housing." He explained.
"Issues? What issues?" You pressed with a frown.
Your bodyguard bowed his head slightly. "He did not specify."
'Great.' You thought to yourself before speaking. "So what now?"
"Your father informed me of an Inn nearby, you will be staying there until the matter is resolved."
You shrugged in a non-committing manner, scanning the area. It's not like it made a difference.
With two bodyguards in front of you, two by yours side, and two behind you, you felt more than a bit claustrophobic. They wouldn't move if you asked them though. Funny how they treat you as if you have power, but you can't even use it.
You learnt that you were in a town called Inaba. Admittedly it felt nice being away from the hustle and bustle of the last place you moved. With the street lamps being few and far between, you could see the stars in the darkening evening sky perfectly.
On your way to the Inn you passed by the school. It made you contemplate your life, but not wanting to dwell on the thoughts, you looked away.
After walking for a bit, you came across it. The sign read 'The Amagi Inn', and seemed quite traditional opposed to the modern hotels you'd stay in at times. An older women was outside in an kimono, sweeping the ground.
Hearing the sound of footsteps she looked up, a kind smile one her face. To your surprise, she was looking at you.
"Welcome to the Amagi Inn! Will you be staying with us?" She asked.
You opened your mouth too speak, but the voice that came out of it didn't belong to you.
"Yes, as long as need be." One of your bodyguards replied. You suppressed an annoyed groan.
"Oh, I see! Well, I hope you enjoy your time here." The lady bowed before returned to her task.
With that you were then ushered inside, although your dragged your feet. knowing that you weren't going to be acknowledged as anything other than something with a need for protection, you tuned out the world around you.
"Mr. L/n, here is your room. We got only the best." One of them said to you. All this time and you've never gotten properly acquainted with them.
