Chie, as pumped up as ever, clenched her fists determinedly. "Alright, time to get started!"

Standing by her with your hands by your sides, you looked around. "Right... Starting what, again?"

"My plan to get stronger! Those sorry shadows aren't gonna know what'll hit 'em with my newly improved kicks!" Chie boasted, but her confidence soon fizzled out as she lugged sheepishly. "Well, it will... I'm just not at that level yet!"

You smiled, nodding. "Sure, I get you. I never thought I'd have a training plan, but then I never thought I'd go through a TV, either."

Chie beamed, unable to mask her excitement as she jumped a bit on the spot. "That's another part of my training, to expect the unexpected! I'll uh... Eventually find out how to do that."

The two of you shared a laugh. You then folded your arms. "Alright, so what's step one?"

"That's easy! We stretch!" Chie answered easily, already beggining her workout and holding out her arms above her head.

You followed her instructions, pondering what onlookers passing by would think. 'Oh well, it's better than getting seen carrying swords around in a food court...'

After that, Chie turned to you with a grin. "Next we'll do some sprints!"

"S-Sprints?" You repeated helplessly. She nodded, not noticing your sudden gloom.

"Yeah, to build up our leg strength!" She responded.

You let out a dry laugh that you hoped did the job. "Right... Hey, wait a sec-"

"Race you around the park!" And just like that, Chie was off running.

Although reluctant, you followed after. Even if you weren't exactly looking forward to it, Chie's enthusiasm was somewhat uplifting. You appreciated it, even afterwards when you were hunched over, hands on your knees and gasping for breath.

"Good job, you managed to catch up to me!" Chie congratulated you, slapping her hand on your back. Being as tired as you were, you stumbled forward a bit.

"Ah, yeah. Thanks..."

Although Chie was hyped up as usual, that didn't mean she was completely unaware of her surroundings. She watched you tiredly wiped at your face, frowning slightly.

"Um, you okay?" She asked tentatively. "Sorry, sometimes I kinda go on ahead with stuff..."

Hearing her forlorn tone, you stood up straight. "Nah, I'm fine! I'm actually pretty impressed, your stamina is endless."

"Hehe, really?" Chie scratched the back of her head, her frown not gone in place of a bashful small smile. "I just like to train a lot, is all."

Now with all your breath back in your body, you turned to face her completely. However Chie still looked a bit worried.

Trying to be reassuring, you joked with her. "Hey, I'm good! I've got some practice running from Kanji during that one time."

"Me too." Chie agreed with a small, when her face lit up. "Oh!"

You tilted your head at her, puzzled, as you watched her open up her bag. Your silent question was answered when she handed you a water bottle.

"Yukiko tells me I should bring water with me whenever I train so I don't get dehydrated, so I've got this." She explained. "I always go to Aiya's though!"

You took it in your hands, nodding. "Hmm... Wait, how would that hydrate you?"

Chie looked at you blankly, as if it made perfect sense. "Well, the meat is juicy enough, right?"
