When Theodore requested to spend the day with you, you weren't fully surprised. However you thought you had shown him everything of interest, so you wondered what else he'd want to see. Still, you had no qualms about it and agreed, and his sparkling eyes made you happy you did.
Leaving the Velvet room, Theodore walked in large strides ahead of you and seemed to be looking over something. Before you could get closer to peer at it though, you heard paper crumble as he turned around.
"Thank you again, dear guest, for allowing me this opportunity." Theodore said politely, hand to his chest as he bowed.
"You don't have to be so formal, we've went out a few times." You tried to say reassuringly, when you realised your word choice. "Uh, wh-where did you want to go this time?"
"Ah, a good question to ask." Theodore cleared his throat. "I've been curious about locations where people visit in... Pairs, specifically. Do you know of any such place?"
In pairs? Specifically? He didn't mean like a date, did he?! You shook your head. 'No no, Theodore won't know what a date is. Right? Right.'
Theodore watched your mixed expression carefully. "You don't know anywhere that fits that description...?"
"Oh!" You snapped yourself out of your thoughts, to see Theodore frowning sadly. "N-No, I was thinking about something else. I... Think I know some places...?"
"Ah, marvellous." In an instant his smile returned, face bright. It was almost blinding, and so you had to turn away with warm cheeks.

"This scent, and colour... Whatever could this be?" Theodore questioned over a cup of coffee, the steam rising above the porcelain.
The first thing that came to mind as a date- a place for two people, was Chagall café. The atmosphere of the establishment oozed luxury, just sitting in their soft olive chairs felt like you were getting a charm boost.
"It's coffee." You explained. "There's a lot of different ways to drink it."
"So it is to quench one's thirst. Very well, I shall give it a try!" Theodore said with enthusiasm, and lifted the cup to his lips.
"Wait, Theo-!"
Your warning didn't reach him in time. He spluttered and coughed, placing the cup back on the table.
"S-Such hotness...! Is this truly a suitable drink for the dwellers here?" He managed to say.
You smiled sympathetically at him. "Well, you have to let it cool a bit first... Are you okay?"
"Yes, I am." Theodore grimaced. "Although my lips are quite sore..."
As you had ordered cold drink, you swiftly offered it to him to help the pain. He took it, seemingly eased by the icy temperature of it. But then he quickly returned it to you, his gloved knuckles resting against his mouth.
"What is it? Did it taste bad?" You asked. He shook his head.
"No, it was very refreshing." Theodore answered, and in a voice you couldn't hear he muttered to himself. "How could I be affected by something so trivial...?"
Puzzled, you looked at him, and he returned to the conversation.
"Excuse my lack of sophistication earlier. The... Coffee, was it? It was quite surprising." He said sheepishly.
"It's not for everyone." You reassured with a smile.
"I would assume so. A seventy one degrees beverage is quite something. It appears hot drinks continue to elude me." Theodore looked thoughtful as he spoke.
