Stucky One Shots

Number Five- Entitled Money

"Hey Cap! Got some mail here!" Sam calls, sauntering into the Avengers tower living room. Steve looks up from his sketchbook, his pencil hovering above the paper.

"Who sent it?" Steve asks, getting up as Sam hands him the mail.

"You got a lot... let's see, the bank, a seniors discount thingy, plenty of army funds, letters from admirers, here's one from my Auntie to you and I don't even know why... and more army funds." Sam lists off as Steve flips through, a look of confusion darts across his face.

"What..." he frowns as he starts pacing around as he usually does when he reads mail. Not even Bucky knew why.

Steve opens the senior stuff and pulls out papers and several cheques made out to him. His frown deepens a little as he sifts through the rest. The blonde takes a seat at the table and opens the rest of the mail to find more papers and documents and cheques.

"Whoa, man." Sam says, letting out a low whistle. Steve leans back, looking at all the cheques, his arms folded over his chest. It didn't make sense to him. Well, the army funds, and senior stuff didn't really count for him back when the thought would've crossed his mind.

"Hey, cap. What's all this?" Tony asks as he saunters in, eyes falling on the pile. Steve looks up and shrugs. Tony takes a seat and starts rifling through the cheques, counting them up for the blonde who had decided to get a drink of water.

"Why do- what's with all the money?" Tony asks.

"How much is it?" Sam tests as Steve swallows some water.

"Nearly $320,000." Tony shrugs and the blonde coughs, nearly spurting out some water. That's more money than he's ever had in his life combined. Just then, Bucky saunters in.

"What's goin' on? All I hear is Steve choking." Bucky comments, sending a concerned look towards his blonde boyfriend. Steve shakes his head, coughing a little. Bucky wanders over and sits on Steve's lap, he raises an eyebrow at seeing a large pile of money on the table.

"Stark, no fair to count your life's work in front of us poorer folk." He scolds, waggling a finger at him. Tony looks pointedly at Steve and Bucky turns to look at him.

"No way. Seriously?" Bucky asks, the blonde nods.

"Holy cow, Stevie. Where'd this come from?" Bucky asks, watching him.

"The bank, senior funding, and army funds." Steve answers. Bucky whistles.
"What're you gonna use it for?" He asks. Steve shrugs, he messes up his blonde hair.

"No idea. I don't need it." He says.

"We could adopt a kitten!" Bucky exclaims, eyes bright. He loved cats and kittens whereas Steve was more of a dog lover, especially pit bulls and 'saggy faced dogs' as Tony fondly called them. Steve smiles, watching the brunette.

"Sure. But the rest should go to a donation." Steve muses and Bucky smiles, he kisses Steve gently.

The pair leave to go adopt a kitten and buy supplies for it. Steve leaves the kitten finding to Bucky while he fetches the needed supplies to own a kitten.

Bucky looks around at the small bundles of fluff, trying to spot the perfect one. His eyes fall on a small kitten, a runt, with a silver patch of fur around its right eye. Its fur was shiny and black, its eyes light blue. It looks up at Bucky and meows adorably.

"This one." Bucky says clearly, nodding his head towards at the kitten with a small smile. The store worker smiles and lifts the kitten up. Bucky takes her and holds her close, she licks his chin with her tiny pink tongue.

"She's adorable!" Steve croons, gently scratching behind her ear. He'd bought cat litter, food, water and food dish, a bed and a scratching post along with some toys. She purrs and leans into his hand, Bucky smiles.

"What should we call her?" Steve asks, looking down at her. Bucky hums thoughtfully, rocking a little.

"How about... Watson?" Bucky suggests and Steve shrugs.

"Hmm. Sure." Steve nods and Bucky grins. All three of them head home. Steve donated a lot of the money to a local food bank and some to a nearby orphanage. They were happy.
