Swans and Fluff

It was a gorgeous day out in D.C., bright and warm with a cool breeze lifting everyone's spirits, and a well-known couple were out enjoying the day. This couple was none other than Captain America and the Winter Soldier. Well, had been the Winter Soldier. At first, the public was wary around him- what if he snapped?- but gradually they grew to love the adorable brunette. He seemed to revert back into his childhood state, acting like a little boy again. Whenever people saw him on the streets, goofing off with his blonde boyfriend, they would merely smile, shake their heads and say 'that's our Bucky'. He liked to feel loved.

He holds Steve's hand within his smaller hand, swinging their arms as they go. He grins at the blonde, who smiles back.

"Hey Steve," he asks and Steve tilts his head a little.

"Hmm?"

'Could we go to the park?" Bucky asks, looking towards it. The blonde nods and kisses the top of his head.

"Sure." He nods and Bucky cheers before dragging him over to the park.

Children played and waved at the pair as they walked by. Bucky smiles sheepishly and gives them a small wave.

"Buck, look at that," Steve says, gesturing to a pond with a swan family on it. A mother glided silently by with several little cygnets hiding under her wings, tucked against her body. The brunette freezes when he sees them, his jaw dropped.

"Oh, my gosh!" He squeals, hurrying over. He tugs Steve's sleeve to try to make him hurry faster. "C'mon, c'mon, I wanna see!" He whines to the blonde, giving him a pouty face. Steve couldn't help but smile at his adorableness.

"I'm comin'," Steve insists, coming up beside him. Bucky kneels beside the pond and leans forward a little, his eyes wide as he stares at the swan. It was amazing and Bucky couldn't tear his eyes away.

"They're beautiful," Bucky whispers as he watches the swan gracefully toss her head, the babies nuzzle against her side. He was in awe. Steve watches him quietly, smiling. He was just so cute. Bucky squeals when he sees a little fluffy ball of cute baby swan start swimming over, making soft sounds. It rubs against Bucky's hand and the brunette bounces around happily, he was so excited and happy.

So Steve was rather caught off guard when the brunette fainted. He caught him, however.

"Buck?" He says worriedly, shaking his shoulder a little. The brunette opens his eyes sleepily, then blinks up at the blonde. Steve sighs a little as Bucky sits up. "What happened?"

"Did I faint?" He guesses sheepishly, his cheeks heating up.

"I guess," Steve replies and the brunette blushes a bit more intensely.

"Oh. Oops?" He says sheepishly and Steve shakes his head a little, smiling slightly. Bucky smiles back.

"That's okay, I still love you," Steve hums, giving his cheek a kiss. Bucky blushes and hugs him. 

"Love you too, Stevie," he hums.
