Bucky yelps as he again trips over Steve's dang shield.

"Steve!" He whines as he sits with a thud on the edge of their bed. Steve was always leaving his shield everywhere and Bucky always managed to stub his toe, trip over it, slam it into his shin; it did
not feel pleasant.

"What'd you do?" Steve asks as he steps through the door, easily overstepping his shield. Bucky scowls up at him, his face in a pout.

"Tripped over that frisbee again," he complains, rubbing his shin where there was already a red mark on his leg. Steve tsks as he picks up his shield and puts it on the bed.

"Why'd you do that?"

Bucky glares at him and Steve smiles cheekily at him.

"Because you leave it everywhere, maybe?" Bucky raises his eyebrows at him as Steve sits beside him and examines his leg.

"Alright, alright, alright," Steve dismisses. Bucky puffs a strand of brown hair out of his face.

Again not a day later, Bucky stubbed his toe on the shield again when he went into the kitchen, he found it lying against the fridge.

"Steve!" He whines loudly, grabbing his foot and cursing under his breath. "I will club you over the head with this thing!"

"Sorry, sorry, I was going to take it upstairs," Steve says quickly as he hurries into the room. Bucky grumbles at him as he sits on the couch. Steve picks up the shield and slings it onto his arm. Bucky glares at the metal frisbee.

"That is a painful device, Rogers. Watch where you put it."

"Sir, yes, sir," Steve responds before heading upstairs with it.

It was later that night when Bucky woke up and figured he needed a drink of water.

Bucky yawns and rubs his eyes tiredly then gets up. He stretches and shuffles across the floor towards their bathroom. He yawns again, widely, but yelps as he trips over that dang shield again and sprawls out on his face.

Steve woke up to Bucky's yelp and sprang to his feet.

"Buck?" He asks, his voice still heavy with sleep. Bucky was on the ground and holding his ankle.

"Your shield, Rogers," he practically growls through grit teeth and Steve kneels beside him. "I tripped over it and now my ankle really hurts," Bucky's growl turns into a whine as he complains.

"I'm sorry, baby. I forgot," Steve sighs as he scoops the brunette up into his arms.

"Don't forget again," he whines, resting his head on Steve's shoulder as he makes his way downstairs.

"I won't. Promise," Steve assures as he sets him down on the couch. He fetches the first aid kit as Bucky holds his ankle. Steve returns and starts fixing up his ankle.

"Sprained it," Steve explains and Bucky pouts his lip.

"Your fault," he sulks and Steve nods a little.

"I know. I'm sorry," he sighs, wrapping up Bucky's ankle.

"It's fine." He shakes his head a little.

From that point on Steve made sure to have a couple hooks on the walls; one on their wall, one on the living room wall, one in the closet wall. Bucky was glad and he felt better not to be tripping over it all the time.
