Your POV:
Everyone was inside watching a movie. I was outside looking at nothing.
I thought about everything my grandma said. I don't know if I like Kelley.
She hurt me but did I really want her out of my life for good?
Then my phone rang. "Hello?"
"Hey. I want to talk to you."
"We're talking right now."
"You're being civil. Are you drunk?"
"If I was drunk you'd know."
She laughed. "Look. I'm with my parents right now. I filled them in on everything. You. Ann. College. They're disappointed in the person I was but reminded me that I control my future. I don't want to be that person anymore. I'm not that person anymore. I know you want space and I will give you that I just want to tell you that I'm so sorry I hurt you."
I nodded. "It's fine Kelley."
"It's not. Look. I have feelings for you. Strong ones. Again I know you want space and I will give you that, but I want you in my life. I need you in my life. Can we at least be friends?"
I smiled. "Are you still gonna be an asshole, O'Hara?"
"Not to you."
"Then we can be friends." I said.
"Thank you." She said. "I have to go now. Family movie night." She sighed. "I'll talk to you later."
"Bye O'Hara."
I hung up.
My phone buzzed again.
