Your POV:

We landed in Orlando. Fans were at the airport. A lot of Pride gear in the airport. Alex and Ash were pretty happy about that. 

We signed jerseys, took pictures and showed off the medals. 

"I am heading off to Jersey. Where you heading?"

"Home. Then Chicago." I said. "Got that meeting."

"Call me when you land." She said.

"Of course." I smiled. "Take care of yourself O'Hara. I know how you tend to piss people off."

"Says the girl who might get fired." She crossed her arms. "I love you."

"I love you too." 

"KO! Let's go!" Heather yelled.

"Coming!" She kissed my cheek and ran off. 

I boarded my flight home and listened to music. 

The whole flight, I thought about what can happen during the meeting. 

It's either a suspension or I'm gonna get fired.

Or both.

Imagine that? They suspend me AND terminate my contract.

That'd be crazy I can't picture them doing something like that.

Wait yes I can.

This is US Soccer we're talking about.

I landed and saw my mom waiting. "Welcome home." She hugged me. 

"Hey mom." I smiled. 

People started to crowd around. "The Olympian is home!" Someone screamed.

"USA! USA!" 

I laughed and waved. The local news was there it was crazy. "Y/N how does it feel to be home?" A microphone was shoved in my face.

"Uh it feels great to be home. Especially with this welcome."

"Can we see the medal?" 

I looked through my bag and found it. Then I put it on. "Ta da." I said.

"Amazing." The reporter said. "When will the next game be?"

"That's a good question. I don't know. Right now we're all gonna meet up with our NWSL teams, finish up the season and then we'll start up with the US." 

"When will you be flying back to Chicago?"

"I'm home for 2 days then I'll fly back to Chicago, meet up with the team there and get ready for our game against Sky Blue."

"Thank you and congratulations."

I signed things for fans and took pictures with them. Then security helped me and my mom to the exit and we headed home. 

"I was not expecting that." 

"You're a hero, Y/N. Get use to it."
