Y/n's POV:

Hailee's on her way over to watch a movie with me and my mom and I'm so excited for it! I hear my mom come in and shut the door with her foot, holding multiple bags of Luke's diner food.

"I got food for the whole of town just for us!" She exclaims excitedly, I gasp and stand up, heading over to her and taking a few bags. "Oh, you gracious child, have I ever told you how much I love you?"

"All the time, momma." I reply, smiling over at her as we set the bags on the couch, "So, what we got?"

"Everything off of the menu..." She answers, I smile, looking over at her.

"Have I ever told you how much I love you?" I ask her, wrapping my arms around her, hugging her. She hugs me back,

"Ah, I love you too, kid." She replies, both of us pulling away. "So... are we gonna do it where we just pick from the bag, see what we get, see if it tastes good and if so, continue eating or are we actually gonna set it out?" She asks, we just stare at each other, before laughing.

"Do we look like the type of people to set it out?" I ask her, her laughing as she rests her hand on her stomach,

"I wanted to make a joke! It seemed like a good one to make!" She replies, making me laugh more. The door goes and I head over to the door, opening it and calming down. I see Hailee, she's wearing some blue jeans, her favourite vans, and my hoodie she stole a couple of days ago.

"Hey!" I greet her, wrapping my arms around her, moving close to her, she chuckles softly. Making my heart skip a beat as she wraps her arms around me and places a kiss on my head.

"Hey, love." She greets me,

"Are you ready?"

"I think so."

"Are you prepared?"

"I think so."

"Can you say anything other than 'I think so'."

"I think so." She replies, I pull away from the hug and see her smiling smugly at me.

"Funny." I reply, sarcastically, moving back and opening the door wider, moving out of her. She comes inside and I shut the door behind her. She goes to move but I tap her shoulder, she turns to me, "I... uh..." I clear my throat, "I missed you." I let out, opening my eyes and seeing her eyes widen for a moment,

"I missed you too." She tells me, placing a kiss on my left cheek, I feel myself smile without me even being able to stop myself. "You ready?"

"We have a lot of food by the way." I inform her, grabbing her hand and holding her hand as I head into the living room,

"You crazy kids ready?"

"Yeah!" We say in sync, heading over to the couch, me and my mom look over at Hailee, seeing her eyes widen at the food.

"When you said there was a lot of food, I didn't think you meant that much." Hailee expresses to us, turning to us with a wide smile as we both smile at her,

"That's what you get with us." My mom replies, wrapping her arm around me, smiling. I smile along with my mom, seeing Hailee glance between us before turning to the food,
