Trapped in the beastworld

Part 127 ~ Cronus

The beast goddess held the skeleton in her arms for a long time, it was so long that she fell asleep and then into a trans. There she sat for years, but as the years came by the skeleton changed. Slowly the skeleton started from to a body. The first thing that was created was the muscles then the heart, then came the lungs and the other organs, after that came the veins and blood, after a long long time the skeleton was now a body, the man looked like he was sleeping but he was not, his heart had not taken a beat yet, and for a while it was just a dead body but one day his heart started to beat, so the body was now alive but his brain was not working yet, so the body was alive but had no function, it needed more and the goddess was just creating what it needed. At least fifty years had passed since she fell asleep with the skeleton in her arms but now she had a body in her arms that was alive, one day they brain started to work, it started to signal to the body that they were a whole but still the body slept, it needed someone to wake him up.

When the beast goddess woke up she held a man in her arms, at first she was a little puzzled but then she figured out that this man must have been the skeleton. She watched him intently, she was curious of whom he was but she was glad she was not alone anymore, after observing him for a long time she decided to try to wake him up. She nudged him gently and told him it was time to wake up now.
The man was very tired and didn't want to wake up but someone was bothering him and would not leave him alone. It took some time but he finally woke up. When he opened his eyes he saw a beautiful woman, at first he was enthralled with her, then he noticed that he was in her arms, he quickly sat up, his head was spinning and he was very disoriented. The goddess gave him to recuperate, she had always been patient, she had nowhere to go nor nothing to do so she just waited.

After a while the man remembered his past and what had happened, he did not understand what was happening, how could he be alive again and who just was this woman.
She asked him for his name, he told her his name was Cronus, she asked if he knew Apollo and he said yes, of course everyone knew Apollo, he had got around but he did not tell her this, he had a feeling she would not like to hear it. She asked what had happened, why had everyone died. Cronus sighed, it had started small, their powers had gotten weaker, little by little, and before they knew they could not go down to the human world anymore, after that had happened they knew that ruins was what waited them. One by one they fell asleep, never to wake up again and after they fell sleep after some time they had all died, chaos had erupted everywhere but there was nothing they could do, for the humans had stopped to worship them, it was their own fault, their arrogance had been their downfall. They had always felt the humans to be beneath them, just ants for them to crush or play with but they fount out too late that it was their belief that kept them alive, now there was nothing that could be done.

The beast goddess was glum for a moment but then she smiled. She had woken him up, she could just awake them all again, it could not be that hard. She thought the best way to revive them all was to make the humans believe in the gods again, that way she would see Apollo faster, it took too long for meditate and she still did not know how it worked, so she looked at the man and told him that they had work to do in the human world.
