Virgil screamed, sitting up on his bed and panting heavily, images from that horrific nightmare flashing in his mind. Roman groggily woke up, looking at Virgil with confusion.
"Dearest?" He mumbled, sitting up. Virgil panted heavily, tears streaming down his face, whole body quivering.
"Dearest, calm down, it was only a nightmare" Roman whispered, "I promise no harm will come your way" Roman assured him, Virgil nodded and sniffled, laying back down, Roman laid next to him and Virgil hugged the blanket around him tighter.
He kept his eyes closed but he could still hear Romans voice. "I love you, Virgil, so much" Virgil coughed, his sobs catching in his throat.
"I'll never leave you, I'll always be in your heart..." Just as Virgil was falling asleep he heard one more whisper.
"But please...make room for the new me"
BEEP BEEP BEEP
Virgil groaned, his eyes opening. It was only a few minutes after he had fallen asleep to Romans soft voice. He looked around his bed, confused until he remembered something that made him burst into tears once more and collapse onto the bed, gripping his pillow while sobbing into it.
Roman was never there, he had died years ago...
