Romans 13:13-14

271 13 2

NCV: Let us live in a right way, like people who belong to the day. We should not have wild parties or get drunk. There should be no sexual sins of any kind, no fighting or jealousy.  But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ and forget about satisfying your sinful self.

NIV:  Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

Meaning: God wants us to act properly. As Christians, we need to act accordingly to the Bible, to Gods word. I looked up "carous" in the dictionary and it litteraly means to drink too much alcohol and enjoy yourself with other people in a noisy way.  He does not want us to have wild parties or attend parties with alcohol and get drunk. Nobody can argue that partying and getting drunk is okay, because it legitimatly states it right here in the Bible.  We are to not have sexual wickedness in us, we are not to have sexual thoughts with one another, well of course unless you're married. Thoughts become words, words become actions, and actions don't always have a positive outcome. Resist the temptations, the pleasure, or peer pressure.  So be careful, keep your mind clear. Despite all this, you should act like a follower of Christ. If someone could see everything you do, think, see, etc, it should all be for Christ. BUT God can see everything you do. So it's reality. You have to live so God would be proud of your decisions. Do not think of a way to put yourself in a situation that would cause you to be ungodly. People go to parties, where alcohol, drugs, etc will be. People hang out with the group of people that are a bad influence. All this is asking for is trouble and stuff that God doesn't want us doing.  So honestly, to stay away from this bad stuff, dont put yourself in a situation that would cause it. In my opinion, thats the worst thing. When people know its wrong, but they continue to do it to satisfy their "needs".

I hope your all having a great week! its wednesday! Have you made time for God?
