1 Thessalonians 5:11
NCV: So encourage each other and give each other strength, just as you are doing now.
NIV: Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Meaning: It's so easy to become self- centred and think only about yourself, not at all about the other people around you! Trust me, I make this mistake too often and then, looking back I realize how selfish that was and how I was completely and only thinking about my feelings and what I want. But in the verse, we are given instruction to encourage EACH OTHER and build one another up, not just think about ourselves!! Look around you... There are so many people in need and giving them a word of encouragement or helping with something is a great way to show Gods love! Instead of instantly thinking about yourself, think about others!! It's so important to "fill each others buckets" daily with kindness, encouragement and Jesus love!
Take action: So in the coming days, take on the challenge of thinking of others before yourself and encouraging and giving strength to the people around you! Pray that God will help you to do so... remember that prayer is the ultimate tool:)

We can never really know how much our actions impact others... How far one word of encouragement can go, simply praying for someone, etc. Let this verse motivate and encourage you to encourage and strengthen in another through Christ:)
