Ephesians 4:29

NIV: Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

NCV: When you talk, do not say harmful things, but say what people need-words that will help others become stronger. Then what you say will do good to those who listen to you.

Meaning: I feel like one of the worst things you in society these days is cursing. Now a days it's so common to hear, that when you do hear it, you don't think much about it which is sad. I think the verse pretty much speaks for itself. Don't swear or say hurtful things to one another because that's a sin against God. Most of you have probably heard the saying "if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all" which is completely true. God doesn't want you to be putting people down. He wants us to build people up and help them achieve the greatest and bring people closer to God, not push them farther away by being a bad influence to them.

Take action: For this take action...I challenge you to keep your mean thoughts to yourself and not to swear. People can say that they're "Christian" but a lot of the time they don't act like it, and to be a true Christian you need to act like you one and show it. So I think a great way to do that would be not to swear or say rude remarks. Even though it may be hard when your brother or sister or friends are getting on your nerves, you have to remind yourself that mean words aren't the way to go. Pray about it and God will take care of everything. Be a good influence on people around you by having a clean mouth!!
I hope everyone's having a great summer! Remember Jesus loves you <3
