2 Corinthians 12:9-10

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

NIV: But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

NCV: But he said to me, "My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, my power is made perfect in you." So I am very happy to brag about my weaknesses. Then Christ's power can live in me. For this reason I am happy when I have weaknesses, insults, hard times, sufferings, and all kinds of troubles for Christ. Because when I am weak, then I am truly strong.

Meaning: One of the hardest things to accept is our flaws. Speaking for our generation( girls in particular) we have a hard time liking our imperfections. We all have weaknesses and strengths, we were each designed this way. Embrace it. When you are weak don't be afraid to admit it. One side of my nose is bigger than the other, I cry easily, I have acne, a have a very low pain tolerance and I get down on myself easily. These are all things that are frowned upon. I've learned to embrace them. For I know God has given me this for a reason. I'll admit to you my weaknesses, that way Christ will make me strong. Once you embrace your flaws, your half way there. I'm honestly happy when I'm faced with a tough situation because I know God will make me strong. Insult me, dislike me, talk bad about me, do whatever. Ya it'll hurt at the time but really our God I the only one that can judge us and I know Christ will strengthen and help me through everything.

Take action: I challenge y'all to write down some of your flaws/weaknesses. They can be physical or mental. Ask God to help strengthen you. When people make comments about my flaws I've learned to brush it off. Christ has made you and will strengthen you. Your flaws make you unique!
