Philippians 2:1-2
KJV: If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
NLT: Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
Meaning: As Christians, helpfulness is something we need to show to one another, agreeing with one another and working together with one mind and purpose, like this verse says. Walking with Christ is defiantly an extremely amazing and rewarding journey, but the bible tells us it's not always going to be easy. There are gonna be hard times, but that's when it's important to anchor our hope in God and also, talk to other believers and work together! The first part of this verses poses several different questions, all that which we now are true! Gods love and encouragement should comfort us and our hearts should be compassionate to others, and we need to show love to the people around us! Another part if this verse that I want to point out is that part where it says "then make me truly happy..." As children of our Heavenly Father, we should want to please him in all that we do and obey his commandments. So be helpful to one another, show compassion and love your neighbour!:)
