A Samurai's Love Pt. 2
A/N: There is a timeskip here. It is when Phoenix meets the queen in case 3, I believe.
Your Pov:
I found myself back in the palace, resting on the chaise lounge. I read my book, tuning out the others as I did so. The others were gossiping about the lawyer and how he was coming to the palace. However, all of my thoughts were of Simon.
As I flipped to the next page of my book, the door opened. Nayna entered. "Ladies, please take your places in the royal chamber. Justice Minister Inga requests your presence immediately."
With that, she stepped out of the room. The girls quickly rushed to fix their hair and put on certain pieces of jewelry or add some markings to their faces. I sighed and marked the page in my book before standing and dusting my clothes off.
A few minutes later, I followed them out to the royal chamber. As they took their places on cushions and the steps, justice minister Inga called out to me.
"(Y/n). Over here, girl."
I bit my lip to avoid any inappropriate words from leaving my mouth as I walked over to him. Without a word, he pulled me into his lap, one arm encircling my waist as the other wandered up to my hair.
Just then, the door opened. A man in a blue suit entered, followed by her benevolence and the high priest's wife. Behind them, were Simon and Athena. Her Eminence took Mrs. Inmee and left the room. Her benevolence followed without a word.
The rest of the guests in the room, looked around, examining everything. Inga spoke up. "Gentlemen, I'm sure you'll find these girls to be up to par. Play nice with 'em though, heh." I looked up, catching Simon's gaze. Inga looked at Simon. "I remember you, panda boy. I heard you're a prosecutor. Take one of my girls as a gift. Lap dogs, all of 'em."
It wasn't strange for Inga to gift the girls to high standing officials. He'd just get a new one to replace the old one. I looked down. Simon's voice reached my ears. "What is the difference between this one and the others?" I looked it up, only to notice that he was pointing at me. Inga laughed.
"She's one of my favorites. She looks like a meek lamb, but bites like a wolf. Not one of my men have been able to tame 'er."
Simon chuckled. "I believe I could, if you'd let me." Athena was explaining to the man in the blue suit as Simon spoke. Inga's grip on me tightened. "I don't think you get it, boy. She's too rare to give up." He turned to the man in the blue suit. "Hey, White, why don't you get your friends out of here before they end up in some real trouble?"
I watched sadly as they left. Once they were gone, the girls headed back into the private room one by one. As I stood from my spot, Inga spoke to me. "Don't forget girl, I could easily have him put to death for just touching you. So don't disobey me again, yeah?"
I silently walked back into the room and laid on the chaise lounge. I didn't want to read anymore. I was too busy thinking about Simon, and what might happen if I saw him again. I couldn't let Inga hurt him...

No One's Pov:
Outside the palace, in the bazaar, Athena and Simon stood by the fountain. Athena groaned. "Come on, Simon! We have to save her! Her heart is crying out for you!" Simon shook his head at her display. "For now, we must wait. If we try to forcefully take her, if could spark an international scandal, or worse, lead to our deaths."
Athena stomped her foot, then paused. "Wait...what if we fake an exchange?" He looked at her. "What do you mean?" She grinned at him. "When we see (Y/n) again, you can pretend to trade me for her. After all, you did say I'd be considered 'exotic' here, right?!"
