He Catches You Singing

Phoenix:

I walked around the office, dusting and cleaning. My phone was playing a random playlist off of Spotify. I hummed as I cleaned, but since I was alone, I started singing.

'Now, I know we said things, did things that we didn't mean. Then we fall back into the same patterns, same routine.'

'But your temper's just as bad as mine is, you're the same as me. When it comes to love you're just as blinded, baby, please. Come back, it wasn't you, baby, it was me.'

'Maybe our relationship isn't as crazy as it-'

I was interrupted by a sound behind me. I turned to see Phoenix standing there. He had knocked over and empty cup. I paused my music and smiled at him, "Welcome back. How are you?" He stared at me, "You sound really good, but was that meant to be about us?" I shook my head, "No. Of course not. I was just bored."

He sighed in relief, "Good. But you do sound perfect. I blushed.

Miles:

I sat in Miles' office waiting for him to get back from getting some papers. I opened up YouTube and played my playlist. Then, a really good song came on. I was alone, so I sang.

'If they say "Who cares if one more light goes out?" In a sky of a million stars. It flickers, flickers.'

I sighed, rubbing my arms.

'Who cares when someone's time runs out? If a moment is all we are? We're quicker, quicker...'

'Who cares if one more light goes out?
Well I do...'

I heard footsteps but ignored them.

'The reminders pull the floor from your feet. In the kitchen, one more chair than you need oh...'

I started to sing the next line and jumped when another voice joined in.

'And you're angry, and you should be, it's not fair...'

I stopped the music and looked up to see Miles. I blushed from embarrassment, "I didn't know you'd be back so soon." He looked at me, "I didn't think you'd know a song like that. But, you sounded like an angel singing it." I blushed more.

"T-Thanks."

Apollo:

I walked around the apartment, cleaning and cooking dinner. Apollo was on his way home from the office, but I knew he'd take a while. I unlocked my phone and opened SoundCloud. I went through my playlist before playing a specific song from Glee. I set my phone on the counter and continued on cooking and cleaning.

'Annie are you OK? Will you tell us that you're OK? There's a sign in the window, that he struck you!'

I heard a door open, but dismissed it as the neighbors.

'A crescendo Annie! He came into your apartment! He left the bloodstains on the carpet, uh!'

I continued, spinning around the kitchen.

'Then you ran into the bedroom! You were struck down! It was your doom!'

Apollo burst into the kitchen, panting and out of breath. I paused the music and looked at him, "Are you alright?" He relaxed and nodded, "Y-Yeah. I just heard the music and thought..."

I shook my head, "Everything's fine." He smiled, "You do have a beautiful voice though." I kissed his cheek.

"You're very sweet. Thank you."

Klavier:

I sat in Klavier's dressing room while the band did a soundcheck. I unlocked my phone and opened Pandora. I searched through my playlist for a while before finding a song that I liked. I smiled and started singing after I made sure the door was closed.

'I'll be your girl backstage at your show! Velvet ropes and guitars. Yeah 'cause you're my rock star.'

I picked at my nails.

'In between the sets...Eyeliner and cigarettes. Shadow is burnt! Yellow dance and we turn. My lashes are dry.
Purple teardrops I cry, it don't have a price. Loving you is cherry pie...'

I looked into the mirror to fix my make up and jumped when I saw Klavier behind me in the reflection. He smirked, "I knew you had a beautiful voice. All to match your beauty." I huffed, "My voice is not good. At all."

He chuckled, "It's perfect."

Bonus

Godot:

The coffee maker rumbled as it made fresh coffee. I was alone in the kitchen, since Godot had went to the store for more coffee grounds. I opened up YouTube and turned on some music. I grinned as a good song came through my phone's speaker. I started to sing my heart out.

'He said, "Let's get out of this town
Drive out of the city. Away from the crowds".'

I thought the door opened, but I thought nothing of it.

'I thought heaven can't help me now!
Nothing lasts forever. But this is gonna take me down...'

I got really into the music, tuning everything out.

'He's so tall, and handsome as hell. He's so bad but he does it so well. I can see the end as it begins, my one condition is...'

I froze as I heard clapping behind me. I turned to see Godot there, shopping bag in hand. He smirked, "Beautiful and talented. What would I do without you?" I blushed, "I'm not good at singing." He kissed my forehead.

"Just believe me then."
