Baby Daddy (Miles Edgeworth x Reader) W/Various
Your Pov:
I walked through the prosecutor's office, holding onto my son's hand. Today was his 9th birthday. Miles was his father, but our relationship was a bit rocky. We always fought a lot and were on and off like a light switch most of the time. That all came to a halt when I got pregnant.
From the beginning, Miles vehemently denied that (Son's name) was his kid. Everyone told him otherwise, but he wouldn't listen. At the time, I didn't want to do a paternity test, because in my heart, I knew Miles was the father.
I knocked on his office door. He called out, "Come in." I opened the door and ushered (Son's name) inside before closing it behind me, "Hello Miles." He looked up at me, "Why are you here?" I huffed, "Today is (Son's name)'s birthday. He wanted to see you." Before he could say anything mean, I kneeled down to (Son's name)'s height, "Can you go wait in the hallway for Papa?" (Son's name) nodded and left the room.
Miles spoke, "You know he isn't mine, (Y/n). How many times must I tell you this?" I crossed my arms, "And how many times do I have to tell you that he is yours?" He got up from his chair, "There's no concrete proof, is there?" I scoffed, "Are you blind?! He's practically a twin to you when you were 9!" I continued, "And just forget about what we came here for."
I left the office and grabbed (Son's name)'s hand, "We're gonna go see uncle Nick, ok?" He paused, "What about Papa?" I bit my lip, "He's coming...later." We left and headed to Phoenix's office. Once there, we were greeted by Apollo and Athena. I looked at (Son's name), "Why don't you go play with Auntie Athena and Uncle Apollo?" Athena was quick to scoop him up and pinch his cheeks.
I headed into Phoenix's private office. He looked up at me, "What're you doing here? I thought you were going to see Edgeworth?" I frowned, "That idiot won't believe me. I don't know what to do." He sighed, "I know, but he can't deny the resemblance. That should've been enough to convince him." I rolled my eyes, "He must be blind as a bat then, because those glasses aren't helping him see it."
He smiled, "Even if he won't listen, you still have us. And if I could raise Trucy by myself, then I think you can do it too." I smiled slightly, "You always give the best advice, Phoenix." He chuckled, "I'm just doing what a friend should do, (Y/n)."
A/N: By the way, I got this idea from a video game that I love. If any of you care to take a guess, I'll leave some hints. For one, it takes place in the past, like before 1900s. Second, it has some pretty good looking characters. And third, there's a family, but with only a couple of blood related characters.
PS: Played on PS4.
