A/N: In this one the reader is 16 and in line for the throne instead of Rayfa.

Your Pov:

I sat in my bedroom with Rayfa, shaking from my anxiety. I looked at her, "What do I do, Rayfa? I'm scared." She sighed, "You have to tell braid head. You're in line for the throne you know." I sighed, "I know, but he'll be so angry with me." She shook her head, "He'll understand. Now go." I got up and walked out of the room.

I walked through the palace, searching for Nahyuta. I eventually found him in the courtyard. I spoke, "Nahyuta, we need to talk." He looked at me, "Follow me." He led me to the palace library, "Now, what is it?" I bit my lip, "I...made a mistake Yuta. A big one." He spoke, "What did you do?" I took a deep breath, "I-I'm pregnant." He froze, his eyes widening. He looked at my stomach, "W-When did this happen?" I sighed, "After the parade that day, I met someone and it just happened. I'm sorry."

He shook his head, "You are to be queen someday. I do not want the citizens to defile your image because of this." I looked at him, "What do you want me to do then?" He put a hand on my shoulder, "I'll send for a doctor and we'll go from there. But, pray tell, who is the father of this child?" I bowed my head, "I...I don't know. It was just the heat of the moment."

He looked at me, "I don't think your body could handle the stress of nurturing life just yet. You're only 16 and you have so much potential." I turned away from him, "I know. I just wish I wouldn't have been so stupid." Nahyuta sighed and pulled the bell cord by the door. A few minutes later, a servant arrived, "Yes, my prince?"

(Nahyuta is technically prince-regent since he is ruling until the reader is ready to ascend to the throne.)

Nahyuta spoke, "Please send for the doctor at once." The servant bowed, "As you wish." 30 minutes later, the doctor arrived. By that time, my mother and Rayfa had came to the library as well. The doctor examined me in my room as the three of them waited outside. Once the doctor finished, he looked at me, "You are indeed pregnant, your prominence."

Nahyuta and my mother came in and the doctor went out so that we could talk. My mother gently touched my arm, "Oh (Y/n), I know this must be hard, but I need you to listen to me. You are young and full of unlimited potential. I don't want you to have any regrets. The Holy Mother has given you a test you must pass on your own. Nahyuta and I can give you advice, but not an answer. That, is up to you." I tried to smile.

"I know mother. I know what I must do." Nahyuta spoke up, "I know the decision you choose will be the right one." I bit my lip, "Ok. Bring the doctor back in." The two of them left the room and the doctor entered. An hour later, the doctor left. Rayfa came to see me, "Are you alright? Mother and braid head wouldn't tell me what happened." I nodded, "I'm fine, but could you go get mother and Nahyuta?" She then brought them in.

Nahyuta came to the side of the bed, "You have chosen the right path. A queen must make sacrifices for her people, a lesson you have learned through this." Mother smiled, "Your brother is right. I hope you remember this lesson." Then, she left. I looked at Nahyuta, "Are you upset with me?" He sighed, "No. Just disappointed. I hope you will learn from your mistakes."

I looked towards the window, spotting a pink butterfly resting on the flower bed.

"I will, Nahyuta. I will."
