A/N: I just finished Investigations 2. I was not expecting that crazy twist at the end. That being said, this chapter will have spoilers for Investigations 2. Read at your own risk. In this chapter, the reader is a part of the Berry Big Circus and is Simon's girlfriend.

I stood in the tent with Regina and Simon. We were preparing for our next show, which was in an hour. Simon and I were already in costume with our make up as well.

I was wearing the choker Simon gave me. He gave it to me when we started dating and I've always treasured it. We went over our routine a few more times. Then, some people came into the tent. They were agents, a prosecutor, and a lot of other people. The prosecutor accused Simon of orchestrating all these crimes I had never heard about. I spoke up, "There's no way he did any of that. Not my Simon!" The man sighed.
"I apologize miss, but we have proof." I turned to look at Simon. Suddenly, he snapped his fingers and the animals changed his appearance. They took his hair ties out and he no longer has his closed eyed smile. I had never seen him like that before. Simon spoke, "So, Mr. Edgeworth, you think I really did it? I thought you believed in me?" They interrogated Simon for a long time in the tent.
I started to lose faith in Simon. The prosecutor spoke, "Did you use this young woman like you used Knightly?" Simon hesitated, "...You don't know what you're talking about." I spoke up, "Tell me the truth Simon. Did you use me?" He spoke, "In the beginning, yes, but-!" I cut him off, "You are a heartless coward! But...you know what?"
He watched me silently. I frowned, "It's hard to trust somebody when the one person you completely opened up to is the person who later completely betrayed you!" I gripped the choker around my neck and pulled as hard as I could. The chain snapped. I tossed the choker at Simon's feet, "I really loved you Simon. I did. But now, I don't know what to think!" Then, I rushed out of the tent, past the officers outside, and to my personal tent. The tears flowed down my face in heavy streaks.
I looked around the tent. I shared it with Simon. Everything in here made me want to cry even more. I sobbed into my hands until I passed out from exhaustion.
I woke up a few hours later in the main tent. Regina sat next to me. She spoke, "(Y/n)! You're awake!" I bit my lip, "Did S-Simon..." She nodded, "They arrested him. I'm sorry. I know you really loved him..." I sighed, "Don't apologize..." She continued, "But...as they took him away, he told me to tell you that he still loves you and always will. He was telling the truth. I know it." I looked down, "Regina...I don't know. I want to hate him, despise him, but...I just can't! I can't stop loving him. I have to talk to him."
Regina smiled, "I thought you might. Go to the detention center. He's waiting." I nodded, "I know. Thank you Regina." With that, I left to the detention center...
